But sometimes patchouli can like in la vie belle for example, which I do own patchouli can get very kind of musty or Quote unquote hippie like what they used to call a hippie patchouli back in the day Or just kind of even like if I'm not too careful or sometimes depending on You know the body wash I use that day or whatever it may be it can even get a little bit body odor like which Which is the last thing I would want from a fragrance and in this I don't get any patchouli Which is which is fine for me But I definitely get most if not all the rest of the other notes and it's really really beautiful the bottle if you haven't Seen it already. I think maybe because of that roasted almond it gets a little richer and the ylang-ylang and Iris and jasmine They really make all the difference for me

 It's just a very zesty fruity Slightly rosy fragrance. It doesn't bring any of that warm nutty richness It doesn't bring any of those white florals to the table in my experience with with wearing it and yeah, I couldn't justify buying it bait on the basis of It not being close enough to this range and the things I love about the girl of now line But I also didn't really think it was interesting as a standalone fragrance as well from the house of Elie Saab There are so many other fragrances and there are other lines within the house that I enjoy and that one just Completely missed the mark in my opinion so I hope that helps you decide between the three that you enjoy and Maybe that'll help you a little bit in your purchase from the girl of now line as always Thank you so much for watching and don't forget to like comment and subscribe And you can leave me your suggestions on videos you'd like to see in the comments below.  I mean, this is a fragrance in my experience that you can really Single out notes if you think about them and you kind of see how they're blended in that really beautiful way I really really like this fragrance I already have a backup of it just because it was a gift from someone and I know I like it I know I wear it and I will get to that one eventually and As it starts to wear off and kind of dry down you do kind of get a little bit more of that That tonka bean that almond milk I don't really get patchouli on me patchouli isn't a note that Always does well on my skin. A very handsome guy who delivers packages to my workplace once told me I smelled good when I was wearing Elie Saab Girl of Now... now I always try to wear it when I think he might be coming by :P

I’m new to fragrance and secretly, obsessed. I’m a shy person in general and grew up in a very anti-fragrance household, with a dad who would loudly complain if he smelled perfume in public. One time, my stepmother almost disowned me for getting her scented candles for Christmas. Anyways.

I wore Alien to work yesterday. I work in a lab, so I’m always in close contact with my coworkers. I try to only spray enough perfume for me. But alas, as I was walking by one of my coworkers, he loudly announced “Someone smells good!” Then he turned to me, accusatory: “It’s you! Are you wearing perfume?”

I could have melted into the floor, a beautiful jasmine scented puddle.

I got a fragrance compliment for the first time and I’m mortified.

It’s a head turner for sure. The jasmine, amber and vanilla notes add to the allure in my opinion. For the price why not? It’s a great fragrance to round out your collection

This is my first experience with almond notes and it was wonderful! Very long lasting I uniquely formulated fragrance that made many of males coworkers stop me and ask what I had on lol—and that was very out of character for a couple of them 😂

 I'd say if you're someone that just really didn't like the original, still give this a go. Yes it's sweet, yes it's slightly synthetic, but no it's not awfully synthetic, it's not off-puttingly synthetic and that's coming from me, like I'm quite sensitive to that kind of synthetic nature in fragrances. The more I explore niche the more I can come back to designer and sometimes we put off because I find that the quality is very different. I'd say this is a really good designer release, it doesn't smell niche but that's okay because it's not trying to be niche

I think it's a lovely sweet fruity gourmand, time of year-wise like where would I wear this or when would I wear this rather? I'd wear this now, so wear at the cusp of spring going into summer, although it's quite warm in the UK at the moment, God willing it'll continue to be warm. I think you could wear this in summer unless you were somewhere like with oppressive heat but for the majority of places that have like moderate heat in the summer you can pull this off

 As a side note to that, one of the things that really saved Girl of Now for me, ironically given its scent on my skin, was the performance. The performance was really, really poor. I'd say that it was a skin scent after 30 minutes and after that point you couldn't smell it unless you literally pressed, like it wasn't just a skin scent like faint, I mean you had to press, sorry I just got an email, you had to press your nose against my skin to be able to smell it. So it didn't work for me, but it's kind of a bit of a saving grace that the projection was poor on me because I hated the smell

 You have to like a sweet fragrance, you have to like a gourmand, if you don't like gourmands, run for the hills because this is as gourmand as they get. But it's really pretty, really easy, that's something I appreciate about this fragrance, it's relaxed, it's not trying to be something that's not, it's not a you've got to dress up in a ball gown to wear me, this is throw me on wherever you go in and you'll smell nice kind of fragrance. 10 out of 10 from me, I think it's a great release from Elie Saab, far better than the original in my opinion. I have heard that the original was reformulated to be weaker but people on Fragrantica seem to think that this hasn't been touched

I could just die, it’s the most intoxicating scent, and it’s just a perfectly balanced perfume. Girl of Now/Girl of Now Shine. I could never get tired of wearing them, and they’re the strongest perfumes I’ve ever worn.

This is a tough question to answer for me, even though the market is flooding with an abundance of fragrances.

What fragrance has no right to be as good as it is ?

 The background white florals (mainly jasmine) don't pop out but are very noticeable nevertheless, in the twist they lend to the sweetness. This has a striking resemblance to amazing and long discontinued Alien Essence Absolue by Mugler - if you're looking for a substitute definitely give this a go.

Elie Saab Girl of Now Shine, got a trial size and have a full bottle on the way. I started a perfume subscription to stop from buying lots of full bottles, but it had the opposite effect haha so have had to cancel it.
