 So my gosh, you guys, it's kind of like, if you smell these together and this, like this certain accord is literally like burned into my brain because it is so familiar. It's so familiar and it's kind of like, okay, so you look at the notes of all of these fragrances and they differ a lot, but when you smell them, especially if you smell them side by side, if you ever go to the store next time or department store, try to smell these ones in a row in the test trips and you'd be like, at least for me, they're so, so similar with differences here and there, yes, and they dry down slightly differently and they open slightly differently, but as a whole, they pretty much have that same base familiar and it's just like, come on, man, how many fragrances do we need that smells so similar? So basically, basically this smell opens as a intense, syrupy, fruity accord, fruit bowl, syrupy, creamy, sweet vanilla. That's the opening in the mid and dry down of this fragrance. It dries on pretty quick, quick actually

After 15 minutes, this fragrance pretty much is a skin scent on me and I'm left with, especially in the mid, I get a lot of the chemical musk, cheap smelling musk along with this mixed white floral scent. In the notes, it's gardenia and orange blossom that are in here, but to me, it's kind of more of like an undistinguishable white floral mix

 But anyways, let's get into the notes first. Top notes are orange and orange blossom. The mid note is gardenia and the base note is a cedar and patchouli. So let's spray that one

I did not receive the real thing! Awful!

Mine is a cheapie, that I learned about on here:  Elie Saab Le Parfum.  I love the honeyed jasmine, and if I could find something like that but a little "darker" in it for fall/winter, I'd be so happy!  I'm bummed that his Nuit Noor is discontinued!

Is there any scent that intoxicates you more and more with every wear? Myrrh and Tonka does it for me - Good god it smells unreal lmao. So decadent and smooth, it seems to work well on my skin too, which is a bonus.

What fragrance do you love more and more every time you wear it?

I’m a fan of the orange blossom in scents like Safanad and Guimauve de Noel, they are both pretty sweet though. Elie Saab Le Parfum isn’t very challenging either. That said, I grew up with citrus trees in my backyard and I’ve always loved the smell of real orange blossoms.

I recently had my first encounters with orange blossom, first in Serge Lutens' Fleur d'Oranger and then in Diptyque's Eau de Sens; both times I found it challenging. Those who love orange blossom, could you tell us how you came to love this scent? Was it love at first sniff, or an acquired preference?

What’s your going on a date fragrance?

I got Elie Saab Le Parfum for under $40, and I think several of the flankers are on fragrancenet for \~$30-40. It is a perfect work perfume IMO, very classy, still has a little sweetness from the honey, and it is very long lasting and strong.

I am trying to find a perfume to wear to work every day so I don’t want to spend too much money (under $40) but I also want something that I’ll only need to put on in the mornings.

I’ve read a lot of threads for people’s favorite drugstore perfumes but I am curious as to which ones last the longest. Thank you!

Mine would be Byredo's Bal D'Afrique. The vetiver/citrus combo makes it fresh enough for warm weather but gives it enough substance to withstand cold temperatures. Plus it seems to be a crowd pleaser :)

Elie Saab Le Parfum.  It smells grown-up but not like an old lady, it's got a modern but sophisticated scent, and it works in both hot and cold weather.
