10 months and everything is toast now - ****Update***

 Do not want to risk cooling failure on expensive TR and the noise is quite aggravating so makes sense to buy radiator fans from a reputable manufacturer. For the 360 model-120mm PWM fans such as Noctua NF-P12 redux series for example. Note that these do not come with corner pads which should be bought separately(or made from any scrap rubber you have on hand) Not a fan of LEDs which are popular now. Pump has LEDs but fans included do not

 As I sit here typing, 15 cores are running float cacls, room temp 77°F and cpu temp is indicating 57°-58°C.  Now, if it will just hold this up over time, it'll be quite impressive. If anything happens in the next year, I'll update this review with the results. Regardless, in 6 months I'll update its status, good or bad

 So, after three years and four months the cooler is still performing very well.  UPDATE: 8/17/2021 - Cooling performance is still excellent. The system is still running 24/7, and has had two motherboard failures, but it's still cooling fine. It would appear the only thing I'm doing differently is running my system 24/7

 In spite of all the negative reviews of this Enermax LiqTech TR4 II cooler, I decided to try the 240mm version and see how it goes.  Installation was easy and straight forward, except that the radiator did not fit in my LianLi case. (this case is horrible and was discontinued - my fault for buying it) There wasn't enough room between the Gigabyte X399 Designare EX board's heat spreader at the top of the board and the top of the case for the radiator to fit. Eventually I was able to take out the two fan mount screws and squeeze the radiator in place

 It runs 24/7 using 15 cores to do number crunching (@home). Temp performance was pretty poor and temps under load (boosted to 3.7GHZ) were steady at 83°C - which is ridiculous. The 115i just doesn't come close to covering the actual chips that are active under the "lid" (only two of the four are active on the 1950) so everything I tried to get better cooling failed

 But WOW! Talk about thermal performance! I was NOT expecting this big of a difference. Fan noise was very low and comparable to the Corsair at 75% to 100% fan speed. As I sit here typing, 15 cores are running float cacls, room temp 77°F and cpu temp is indicating 57°-58°C.  Now, if it will just hold this up over time, it'll be quite impressive

At the time of purchase in February 2019, it was one of the only full coverage TR4 AIO coolers. I had never purchased an Enermax product before, and I was fully aware of reviews reporting leaking and corrosion when I purchased.  By October, about eight months later, the unit started making a lot of noise. The noise seems to be coming from both of the radiator fans

 I am however wary that the radiator fans became so noisy such a short time after putting the unit into service. I could probably service, or replace, the radiator fans. But maybe the fans shouldn't start failing under a year, in normal operating conditions. Excepting, of course, extreme environmental conditions such as operating continuously in a dirty workshop

 I will more than likely be switching to another cooler. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache..

I bought the Enermax LIQTECH 280 TR4 II around a year ago to cool my Ryzen Threadripper 2950X CPU. It worked fine for a year, but today my PC kept shutting down, and it's a good thing I checked the CPU temp and it was at 97 degrees. So the cooler died within a year, which is disappointing. Although I have a replacement warranty for it, I may look at other cooling options

I'd recommend to stay away from this...

So bought this for my Threadripper 2950X in January 2019 and on Wednesday March 13th the pump basically gave out because the CPU was thermal throttling itself down to below a gigahertz. I am working with the Enermax Support team to get my RMA'ed however, I am hesitant to put this back in and have it fail once more. I went ahead and purchased the NH-U14S TR4-SP3 for not until a better AIO is out in the market.

Works great, until it fails.
