Lighter skiers, what width do you like for deep days?

 This is the free ride twin tip ski from Candy Thravex's pro model series and it's got a 108mm waist. Makes this ski great for powder snow, deep snow and a little bit of all mountain versatility as well. It's got a hybrid balsa flats core that keeps the ski really light for a ski this big and it's got a medium stiff flex so it's nice and responsive and got a damp stable ride quality. 2mm of camber underneath the binding gives you quite responsive turns, a little bit of rebound out of there and a nice strong edge hold as well but up in the tip and the tail of the ski you've got a lot of rocker for really effortless float and pivot in the deep soft snow and a quite surfy ride so it is great for free riding as well

 Black Crows Atris - Wild ride, love high-speed carving. K2 Reckoner 102 - extremely fun ski, build quality not to standards of other skis mentioned.

Like the title implies, I'm looking for a second pair for my quiver, something on the fatter side for when we get "fresh" snow out there. I want something all mountain and playful, I spend most of my time at the bigger resorts darting through trees and chasing the freshest snow on the mountain. I used to be dead set on the ARVs as a general Armada fan, but I've been seeing good things about the Volkls. Open to other suggestions as well, these are just at the top of my list, anybody skied both out East and have a strong opinion?

Armada ARV 106 vs Volkl Revolt 104 for East Coast shredding

 So that stiffness underfoot is going to help you hold that edge as you're pressuring that ski. But the lighter tip and tail is going to help you float and powder, help the ski lay over just a little bit better. I'd probably not recommend somebody just starting out to get on a pair of skis like this. You're going to have a little bit of a harder time with a wider base like this

 So I find these to be super responsive and they turn really awesome. They hold an edge great for me. These things can absolutely rip. I tend to go up in a size a lot

 These guys are 112 underfoot. You might want to start with something a little bit narrower. I wouldn't recommend these to someone who's spending all their time on groomers either. They're not going to be a typical groomer ski

 I’ve had them for 2.5 seasons and rode ~50 days or so on them. I loved them but miss a more cambered ski that can hold strong in crud and varied conditions. Also, the lack of camber just made me work really hard

Same thing happened to my CT 3.0's as well. Terrible durability. I've never been so disappointed by a ski in my life

I'm a big fan of Black Crows and especially their topsheets from a few years back so I'd go with

2019/2020 Camox 174cm  w/ Black Look SPX12

2019/2020 Atris 184cm  w/  Teal Griffon 13 ID

The skis have similar profiles and the Camox would make a great all-mountain ski while the Atris would be fun for days with fresh now or more off-piste focus
