 the Fender Supersonic which is their take on a higher gain amp. I think it's the best overdrive tone so that's what I kept going here on the Essence L5 Bridge Maker and the reverse-flash to let [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you.

 and then it's a grab and go for our smaller jam sessions, possibly even like coffeehouse gigs, whatever. Ridiculously lightweight. Needless to say. so I'm gonna do three sound samples with the stock speaker I'm gonna have the toes straight up for all of these demos

Best Low-Volume Amp: A 20-Year Quest

 The reverb and effects are very good, with less "digital" sound than I am used to with simulated effects. Still, I prefer my separate Boss pedals that have a lot more control for the delay and chorus. But the Champion effects are plenty good enough for practice without hauling out my pedalboard.  BTW, the amp works fine with a two button footswitch P/N 0071359000 (which isn't clear in the online info or brief instruction manual)

 This amp will likely outlast me, and that's plenty good enough.  The amp has excellent tone on the clean side, similar to a Twin etc. The dirty side has some nice adjustments (as heard in the demo videos). It's plenty loud enough for practice and small venues, and will mic just as well as any other amp for larger venues

 So I treated myself to a Fender Champion 40 and am very, very pleased with the quality and sound (and light weight!). It's clearly not a military-grade device, but then neither am I. This amp will likely outlast me, and that's plenty good enough.  The amp has excellent tone on the clean side, similar to a Twin etc

  I perform as a one man band using automation and electronics for bass and drums. With this setup the amp performs very well since I have control over all volume levels. The 40 watt Champion does a good job at an indoor gig with as many as 100 people.  Overall, I can highly recommend this amp, and it is the one being used now for my gigs!

 It is very light weight for its size and power.  The clean channel delivers a nice clean Fender Blackface sound, and while the amp is solid state, there is a warmth to the sound that approaches that of a tube amp. The second channel gives a selection of amp models plus a gain control that lets you dial in the amount of "dirt" you want. With an optional footswitch, you can change channels allowing for switching in and out of lead rifts

 The 40 watt Champion does a good job at an indoor gig with as many as 100 people.  Overall, I can highly recommend this amp, and it is the one being used now for my gigs!

I've been a fan of programmable amps, but have learned that an amp that is programmed to sound good in your den will not sound the same at a gig. Because of this, the Champion 40 with its simple controls was appealing. It has not disappointed me!  The Champion 40 uses old school knobs to change tone settings - this makes it easy to adjust the sound depending on where you are playing. The 12" speaker delivers a nice, full sound - superior to a 10" speaker found on many amps in this price range

I’m in Officer Candidate School at the moment and I’m itching to play guitar again. The only problem is that anything outside a select few items has to be stored inside one closet. If you know anything about the Army, it’s a hell of a lot of gear to go in a small space. Do you all have any recommendations on a smaller than normal guitar that won’t play or sound terrible? I’m not an acoustic expert and definitely don’t know much about smaller guitars. Thanks!

[Question] Smaller sized guitar for Army living

 Both Channel 1 (Twin Amp) and Channel 2 Blackface choices give very clean sounds that can be manipulated as you choose. The volume is massive. I am very please with the amp, use it daily, and have had no problems with it.  Additional update: I have come to use channel one, the twin amp model, for clean play
