Okay so here is the bag in the color ochre I Got this back for an upcoming solo trip to Maui but since booking my trip, the state has extended their 14-day mandatory tourist quarantine and I have needed to push back my trip a couple of times so we will see if I end up going. but in the meantime this bag was bought in preparation for this solo trip

 it's not big enough for a water bottles you can see. This little spot is really small so no water bottles gonna fit in here. So I've got my portable battery here. this one is from Honker and I just wanted to test out this little thick and with the case just barely fit so you can charge while walking or while traveling you

Fjällräven Kånken Mini Backpack Review | Is it a good travel bag?

Super cute backpack but a lot smaller than I thought. I bought from Night Out USA and received an authentic kanken. The side pockets are honestly near useless, but they do hold my iPhone 6. Anything bigger and I don't think it'd fit

 So just before we dig in I am going to give you a size comparison so you have an idea of how this relates to the really really popular Konkan the classic. So this is the classic and this is the mini. Just to give you an idea, this is definitely like a book bag. You can put a binder in here, that kind of thing

 You have the classic label here, just like on the regular-sized one. You have the little Swedish flag and then back here there is a seat pad so this is I'll take it out and show you this is a foam pad that slips into this little pocket and so it's meant to prevent anything that's in the backpack from like poking you in the back. But apparently you also can take it out and sit on it if you're out in a boat and want something a little more comfy to sit on. So that is what that is and you can take it out

Very small!

 Um, you don't have to, but I think it's useful if let's say you have something that's just bulging out or coming out of the top and you don't or you can't close it with the zippers all the way. You can leave the bag slightly open and just use this and I think that's good for you know, preventing things from falling out or just gives you a security on your back. Um, and I actually use this on the trip. We bought a like super long water bottle and it just didn't fit falling inside the bag

 like the zippers, these straps, um, the details. Like you know, there's a top closure here that's just like brass button color which I think is like metal as well as the adjusting um, buttons here on the strap. So I think all the details of this bag. it's pretty high quality or good quality

 Um, I'm sure you can get past them if you really like the style of this bag. They're not deal breakers, even the straps. I would love that they were longer, but it's not gonna prevent me from keeping this bag and using this bag. It's just something that I wish, um, you know would be slightly different

 It just seems like a popular kind of go-to backpack. And so I figured you know, As I was getting ready to go on a trip with my husband last month to the Big Sur in California, I wanted to give this bag a shot and take it with me and see what it's all about. So um, I can't say it's going to be a 100 positive review because my feelings are actually kind of mixed about this bag. I'm not crazy about it, not going to the details, but I wanted to share everything with you guys

 -I would recommend for traveling but not fro school if you have heavy stuff since the straps are not comfortable and ergodynamic for that type of weight such as textbooks and such.

  -The bad: -The ends of the straps have snatched onto my clothing SEVERAL times. Its a minor issue but it is something to keep in mind esp if you ae wearing any delicate tops that you don't want ruined. (I'm talking about the straps that you adjust to make the straps longer/shorter) No matter how you adjust the straps, the melted, plastic-y ends of the straps are to watch out for. -The front pocket is kinda hard to get to sometimes because the cloth covering it is made of stiff material

  Cons: 1. Those zipper flaps. The fabric is VERY stiff, and so moving those out of the way and then operating the zippers is more of an adult task. Not something my 5yo can do on her own yet

 3. Those same shoulder straps are also in need of some soft covers or rounded edges, because the bare nylon webbing edge are quite rough and stiff.

 2. The shoulder strap design is needlessly complicated, so much so that Fjallraven have to include instructions (not clear) and there are countless Youtube videos out there (better) to teach folks how to make adjustments. 3. Those same shoulder straps are also in need of some soft covers or rounded edges, because the bare nylon webbing edge are quite rough and stiff
