If you are new to 3D printing, and are unsure of what to ask, try to include the following in your posts as a minimum:

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. I repair old electronics for fun, but I find broken parts often. I'd like to know a material type and printer that could print strong replacements pieces. For example, I have a Dreamcast controller with two broken triggers, if I could print replacements, that would be awesome.

Wife said up to $2,000 AUD ($1,400 USD), which seems a bit much considering how awesome some of those cheaper printers look.

Maybe $1,000 USD all up printer, tax, shipping, materials, and some cool designs. Some of the models people have printed look as good as shop stuff, I&#39;m excited.

 Also located here is the filament sensor which detects if filament is loaded in the printer and if your filament spool runs empty like this one, it will pause printing until you load new filament. I will show this to you later in the video. Looking at the exterior, it has a close print chamber which essentially has two functions: first keeping the printing temperature at a stable level which is required if you like to print Abs material and second, it reduces the noise level of the printer and is a little sugar coating. There is a camera inside of the compartment here on the right hand side which you can use to monitor what's going on with your print

 I hadn't used or even seen a 3d printer in person before I got it. I selected it on on line comments and Youtube reviews (most of which involved someone rating an item that was given to them). It it was supposed to be plug and play, not t require a lot of tweaking and appeared to have a good print quality . Those claims were generally met
