 I think everyday riders will love the set it and forget it nature of the Enviolo hub and the reliability of the Bosch motor, and I think those that are only getting out on the weekends or occasionally will like the same things. It's the type of bike that you're not gonna have to worry about before you get on for a ride. There's no derailleur to tune or anything like that. All you gotta do is make sure the battery is charged up and ready to go

 This version of the Bosch motor is about as quiet as a Brose motor. Rounding out the group set are Shimano hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. These are going to be four piston and on a 180 millimeter rotor in the front and a 160 millimeter rotor in the back. Gazelle definitely designed this bike with comfort in mind with things like the cell, royal saddle, and a fully adjustable stem, which means you can be as upright as you would like to be

I currently have the Priority Current which is amazing for shorter rides, but the range at higher assist levels is seriously lacking.

It doesn't necessarily have to have dual batteries, a single (removeable) 1kWh battery would work too. 

The Priority Current is class 3 with a belt, mid drive motor, CVT and a torque sensor, but it only has 1 500Wh battery and the real world range with max assist is only 15 miles.

Thn Dost Kope CVT is class 3 with a belt, mid drive motor, CVT, and dual batteries, but it has cadence sensors.

Dies the perfect ebike for me exist? Or will I need to just use the Current, perhaps with a second battery in my bag for longer trips?

Looking for step through (or at least not high bar) commuter with comfortable ride. Would be my first eBike. Budget up to $3,500 but $1,500-2,500 preferred. Willing to wait until next year if there are superior options coming out but with supply chain issues, it may just be 'find something good enough' time.

5'7, 180 lbs w/29" inseam. 55 yr old weekend warrior. Fine doing basic maintenance. Two local LBS within 5 blocks that support most eBikes (they didn't seem to love Rad). 

Use: Grocery store runs + 3x/week 9 mile trip through residential areas to downtown Minneapolis. There will be potholes. No greenway/midways (All South to North) but can detour around some lakes. Not many hills but need accel/zip as MN drivers suck. Class 3 ideal as will have long stretches where can max speed safely, or at least 25 mph with pedal assist. That said, will also have many stops on route so can't be unwieldy at low speeds. 

Options so far:  
Priority Current: Can get 20% off through Costco. Great components. Just wish I could test ride. At top end of budget.

Aventon level: Ticks all of the boxes. Setting up test ride soon. Would need to add lights. Not exactly zippy but I don't need to leave skid marks - just don't want something where I'm dying of embarrassment as a Prius honks behind me or regretting not getting something more powerful.

Step through commuter options

This is my first post on this group as I just received my first electric bike. I'm an avid cyclist and still have my regular bike. I live in a super hilly area and the new bike is a game changer for doing errands, shopping, etc.

On January 12 I received my new Riese &amp; Müller Multicharger with Bosch Nyon computer. It was delivered from the dealer by truck as the dealer is a ferry ride away. I love the bike and workmanship and everything worked great except I could not connect the Nyon to my iphone through Bluetooth.

I installed the Bosch e-bike app on my phone and the Nyon connected perfectly through WiFi. But not through Bluetooth. With the Nyon attached and off the bike it could not see my iphone when both were in discovery mode. The iphone couldn't see the Nyon either. So I tried the following:

* I made sure my phone Bluetooth was on and the Nyon was signed into my Bosch account;
* I deleted the WiFi connection and followed Bosch's step by step instructions to connect with Bluetooth. No luck;
* I tried by putting the Nyon in discovery mode by pressing the headlight button for five seconds. No luck;
* I tried through the Nyon Bluetooth settings page. The iphone did not appear and the Nyon did not appear on my phone. No luck;
* I did a hard reboot of my iphone and tried all the above again. No luck;
* I called the Bosch e-bike support number and they had me do a factory reset and try all the above. The Bosch rep then said to take the Nyon and bike to a dealer and have them run a diagnostic test on it to see if the Nyon needed replacing.
* Before heading to the dealer I thought I'd try one more thing... I deleted the Bosch e-bike app from my iphone, then I did a hard reboot of my iphone, then I reinstalled the Bosch e-bike app. As soon as I opened the app and signed in to my Bosch account the app started to search for a Bluetooth connection and I was able to connect. SUCCESS!!

So, if you have the same problem or possibly other problems with Bosch bike computers try deleting and reinstalling the Bosch e-bike app.

Work-around for Bosch Nyon Computer not Connecting to Bluetooth

Before the pandemic, I tried commuting on my Trek Lexa but never found it to be comfortable. I kept finding reasons not to ride it in. I think I found the road bike stance to be too uncomfortable for a daily commute. 

My office is \~9 miles away, with a mostly flat route. There is no shade, and in the summer it gets hot. On my Trek, it'd take me about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how many lights I hit. 

I'm looking to get a new bike - something more upright and comfortable to sit on for an hour each way. I'm curious if getting an electric (probably a class 1) will help me stick to actually commuting. I'm not looking for specific bike suggestions, but opinions on how to better stick to commuting and if e-bikes help with that adherence.
