 Also, I picked the color from Back to the Future. A lot of people have commented over the years of me teaching guitar. the Back to the Future you know is one of the movies that made them want to play guitar so I thought it'd be fun to kind of connect to that vibe a little bit. Now the C shaped neck is just really good because I don't have you know, John Mayer hands or Hendrix hands or whatever and I've always gotten comfort out of that C shaped neck

 Alright you guys here it is. It's in Cherry just like Back to the Future that's why I picked it. Block inlays just like BB King All the specs are what I like in a Es-335 and we'll go through and play it all. So big! Thanks and shout out to Gibson Guitars are being so cool and working with me on this

 so I decided the block inlays and especially because BB Kings Lucille had block inlays now I Love the classic Legends BB King Jimmy Page Eric Clapton Played a 335 and creamed The pickups in. Here are the Memphis historic specs which are as closely based on the classic PAF's as they've gotten so far, thus getting those tones from Clapton BB King Jimmy Page the classic Gibson players. So I did put a lot of thought into it I've got a little bit of back to the future. We got a little bit of BB King and then with the Memphis historic Specht pickups, we got that classic Jimmy Page sound that you would get right from something like Led Zeppelin or Eric Clapton and cream

 But for all intents and purposes, they are modeled after real 59 PAF pickups. Now, Gibson was the first to do this. Do the semi-hollow design like the 335, but since then, plenty of other builders and manufacturers have gotten into the game producing their own semi-hollow body designs. This is my Novo Miris and on paper, it's pretty similar to a 335

 That was the very first time I ever performed in public with this guitar. This is my 2010 Memphis Made Gibson ES335. This guitar has been through thick and thin with me. This is the one alongside my pink sparkle novo that if the house was on fire and everyone was safe, this is the one that I would run in and grab

[QUESTION] What's your dream guitar that you cannot afford ( now or sadly never ) ?

 British people tend to say ES335, Americans say ES335. This is made in Nashville, Tennessee which is in America so I'm going to say 335 in this video. This is such a fantastic guitar. I reviewed one of the old Gibson Memphis 335s a couple of years ago

 So yeah, maple, popular maple construction, the classic 335 design, colour all the way around as well, it's sunburst on the back just like you'd expect. Fully bound body, fully bound mahogany set neck and it's a rounded C profile so it's like Goldilocks's porridge, it's not too big, it's not too thin, it's just right, it's perfect. Traditional 12-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, it's that Gibson classic with the dot inlays, 22 medium frets and even when it's not plugged in. Whoa, it sounds great but my playing is a bit dodgy today

Classic Gibson headstock as you'd expect, Cluesone the Gibson deluxe style tuners up top, the pickguard is removable but I always prefer 335s with the pickguard on

 It's always a joy playing a 335, 335 because they're so big and resonant. When these first came out, these were the burst colour because these had the same pickups originally as the 1959 Les Paul, the burst and they resonated a bit more, they sounded a bit better and I think they were a bit cheaper as well so a lot of people preferred these to the now very fancy, very expensive 1959 Les Paul. It was hard to tell because most guitar shops here give you mediocre amps for demoing and you can only play so loud to gauge how the pick ups feel.

So I'm looking at viewpoints from people who went from Stratocaster to a Telecaster, how would you describe the tonal changes and the feel of the overall guitar in comparison?

[QUESTION] Is a Tele still worthwhile buying if you already got a HSS Strat?

 and maybe some things I had to change. Some of the things I like: I like the fact that they're using a Graphtec new bone nut. They're not using a bone nut, which I would like, but I really like that they're doing that because these come prefab, I'm sure, and that's really help with the tuning stability. The guitar is staying in tune beautifully

 Again, very fantastic guitar. I have to say I've picked up a ton of Esp335s over the years and every once in a while you find one that just speaks to you and it's really nice. But I have to say this new one one of the best ones I've played. There's just something about this guitar

 Just smooth it all out and it worked perfectly and now I'm in love with the guitar. And then I cleaned it all up, put some some fretboard conditioner on. It was fantastic. It's using volume, volume, tone, tone and they're using orange drop capacitors and the tone controls

 But I have to say this new one one of the best ones I've played. There's just something about this guitar. It doesn't have any of the issues I've dealt with over the years with certain ones and it's got all the things I liked about it. It does seem like they were really trying to make this one really good and uh, it spoke to me so of course that everything lined up so it decided it was

[QUESTION] Do new guitars need to be professionally set up?

 These are the T-type calibrated humbuckers and these are the 61 humbuckers. but you got a three-way switch and you got two volumes. two tone knobs keeping it pretty simple there. Obviously, these are both somewhat modeled after the 60s incarnations of these individual guitars

 We love the standard 50s and standard 60s models here. Um, but you know if you are able, if you have the means. I think something that you can hear in our demo is that you can play virtually the same thing on both these guitars. They both have humbuckers

 but I think those tones kind of come across a little bit differently. semi-hollow if you're not, uh, aware, is not a fully hollow body guitar. There is a block running through this right under the pickup, so it keeps it from being like this huge, boxy, almost uh, arch top style guitar. But it does have that resonance and that mid-range punch that you expect from a semi-hollow body
