 My front panel USB one port worked, one port didn't, the rear USB was hit or miss, sometimes one of the ports worked and then it didn't. And even on the second BIOS release, I think this board is not ready for release yet and it just feels a little bit too rushed even one month in. Now I have no reason to believe that Gigabyte won't address that in a future BIOS update, but we are getting out of the early adopter stage being about a month in and that there is the main reason why I can't recommend it just yet. Now if there could be a nail in the coffin for this board, check this out

 Just like the previous Z590i and Z490i boards from Gigabyte, it's a well-made board. It's a heavy, thick PCB. It's got a substantial backplate, and this is a 10 plus 1 plus 2 VRM setup with 105 amp stages, so it is quite overkill for stock use, for even, say, a 12900K, but good power delivery is always fine, and it's a boon for stable overclocking. A total of four fan headers for a mini ITX board, that's plenty, and there's a regular four-pin header at the top of the board next to the EPS power right here, and then there's two mini headers that need a dongle like this

 There's a total of seven Type A ports and one Type C port at the back, 2.5G ethernet, and not so great on the audio, since it just has a line out and mic, but it's okay. Wi-Fi 6, and you've got a Type C front header right here, and an internal 2.0 header that can be split out to two downstream devices with a dongle

 I could be wrong, it could be in that higher tier, but I guess what I'll do is, what I do usually is, if I find the pricing, I'll put it in the pinned comment of this video so then I can go back and correct myself or someone in the comments will correct me even when I didn't ask for it.  There's a bunch of USB 3.2 ports. There's a line out, which is for your headphones or your speakers. There's a microphone jack

 And there's two connectors to handle all of the bandwidth because there's two slots in total. So they connect them up different ways. OK, let's take a look at that rear I.O

 The first thing is Z690 with DDR4. The second thing is ITX, and that's what we've got here. The Gigabyte Z690i or Z690i AORUS Ultra. So without further ado, let's take a bit of a closer look

For me, there is no universe where an ITX board with crap cooler compatibility at that price represents a good value. Especially factoring in the early-adopter tax for DDR5. All of the boards this round are expensive, but this is just a special brand of unreasonable.

From the quick search I have done so far I have only found two options for ITX LGA 1700 boards;
- Asrock board which is DDR4 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asrock-z690m-itx-ax-intel-z690-ddr4-mini-itx-motherboard-mb-18d-ak.html 
- ASUS board which is DDR5 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-rog-strix-z690-i-gaming-wifi-intel-z690-ddr5-mini-itx-motherboard-mb-6h9-as.html
My question is are there any other options which I am missing, because it seems like I am going to have to order the £374 Asus board to pair with a new alder lake CPU? This is far from ideal not only because of the crazy price, but also could really do with another m.2 slot (gen 5 would be nice for future proofing as well). 

Beyond that though, my main concern is the power staging on the board. The 10+1 configuration is a lot less than most of the mid range full size atx boards, so wondering if this will throttle the new I9 and I7s?

Maybe I am expecting too much though, it is my first time going ITX...

Alder Lake ITX boards

 Only just the other day did they send it to the repair team after charging me $20 for a new M.2 thingo. Obviously my return window is closed so now I'm stuck with 2 boards. Let's hope they fix the 1st one properly or else I will have one damn overpriced mobo

Asus Z690-I and Kraken Z63

 YES it does take longer then usual to boot, but it does boot. Yes it did have issues early on, but the latest F8 Bios seems to have ironed everything out. Yes it has a massive heatsink for the M.2 that limits its cooler compatibility (Just remove it, add a 4mm thick copper heatsink from amazon like I did and the Noctua NH-U12A fits fine) Yes it is the only DDR4 ITX mobo for z690 (so far)  It is a solid feeling and heavy mobo with more fan headers then I've ever seen on an ITX board

Good DDR4 Mobo for Z690 chipset

 Next is the Cryrix C7. This one seems to fit but it will require the new bracket. But I could not find it anywhere in the US. For the Alpenform Black Ridge, the cooler is not compatible due to the tall VRM heatsink

 I am very pleased with the look and the performance on the new build. However, one thing I do not like is the Gigabyte motherboard. As mentioned at the start of the video, it will sneakily install the AppCenter software to your Windows. I had to use Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall and get rid of all the leftover files on my PC

 This board also takes very long to boot to the BIOS screen. It needs at least 20 seconds which is very annoying. However, it is the only high-end DDR4-Z690 RTX board that can handle a 2900K if you go with DDR5, stay away from it and grab the Asus or pick the MSI if you need better cooler compatibility. It is time for my 9900K system to retire and I think I had so much fun with it

I dont want sound stupid but gigabyte aorus mobos are just better in all ways, especially in quality of hardware parts. I will just leave it up to you what you will take from my comment. If you have some questions i will answer.

I plan to fully utilize the 5800x and pair it with a 32 GB (16x2 or 8x4) 3600Mhz CL16 to get the best lowest 1% and 0.1% FPS in Competitive titles like Apex Legends, Warface and Valorant.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I really hate bottlenecks that I get from my i5-8400 + RTX 2060 it is really annoying and holding me back from enjoying games.
