 I think this is a relatively safe buy that, you know, white florals are hard to dislike when they're done in a modern way like this where they're not heavy, where they're fresh. So I think this would be a good gift. I think someone would be pleased to see this, like to receive this. And I think this will do well with Christmas coming up, of course

 They have got a little bit of vanilla in which you can't distinguish. You can't smell vanilla, but there's something in there that makes this slightly sweet tuberose, but it's sweet in the like, you can imagine it's like a baby tuberose, you know, like it's fresh and young rather than old and like dried out tuberose smell. You've also got some orange blossom in here. So think about Elisabe, Le Parfum, hint of that in here, but tuberose I'm getting much more than the orange blossom and also some really pretty jasmine as well

Armani My Way. It’s a beautiful white floral while also being office friendly. It’s one of my comfort fragrances too so if I’m feeling down this one immediately lightens my mood.

This is coming off of the SOTD thread.  I mentioned that I am starting a new job today so I reached for my most inoffensive blind reach fragrance. Dior Homme Eau. Its what I wear when I don't know what to wear and need to be subtle/gentle with my fragrance.

I realized this is what I reach for most often because I don't know what else to wear with a quick decision. Which makes me wonder;

Had sort of a rough night last night and wanted to be cheered up so I went with my sample of **Giorgio Armani My Way** which smells like sweet grape bubblegum on me. I'm in a better mood already!

It's a perfect day in my corner of the US Northeast. This will be my first smell / test of **Chloe Chloe** edp. I bought it as a manufacturer's carded sample and got a little scared when I read the first line of copy inside the card, in all caps: "A SUBLIME POWDERY ROSE"

Uh oh: powdery accords choke me out. So I applied less than I would have otherwise, lol

A Birthday Gift

I tried Armani My Way last week on a clean wrist and it started off pleasant enough. After about 20 minutes, my arm started smelling increasingly like an unwashed armpit.

I have a particularly problem with some fragrances containing woody notes. There's a certain fuzzy, dusty and synthetic woody smell that dominates the fragrance and I hate it. A couple of offenders are PDM Layton and Atelier Cologne Cedre Atlas. I'm pretty sure I've smelled it in some other designer scents as well. I wrote it off as maybe my nose just doesn't like these scents. 

That is until I smelled PDM Layton on the sampler vial instead of on my skin. It smells delicious, clear and inviting like a sweet spiced pine forest! It even smells nice on my finger tip for a short time. When its on my wrist/inner elbow, its like I took my glasses off and everything's muddled and fuzzy but on the vial its like 20/20 vision clarity. I even dabbed it on my bf's wrist to be sure I wasn't crazy and it smelled so different on him too! It smelled way more how it should on him and I liked it.

I know people mention skin chemistry all the time here but damn I never imagined it could make such a difference. I'm wondering if the offending ingredient is ISO E Super because I've read many people have unique experiences with how it smells on them. Anyways, I'm now disappointed that my skin is not working for some otherwise beloved fragrances.
