Gloomhaven

I almost finished gloomhaven and I loved the aspects of having character progression. Leveling up the character, getting new items and new skills is so much fun. It never gets boring.

It almost needs to become the only game you play for a while if you want the most out of it, or at least a regular game group for a year or more. I'm not going to lie, I regret getting Gloomhaven. The game is definitely as good as everyone says, it's amazing. But I don't have the lifestyle to be able to get out of it what it can offer.

Everyone I know likes it. 6. Gloomhaven/Gloomhaven JOTL.

**5 Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion (2020)** - It's a better version of Gloomhaven just with less stuff and a welcome streamlining of setup. **39 The 7th Continent (2017)** - The sense of discovery is so wonderful and it's a very light game mechanically. We play to see whats over the next hill.

5. Gloomhaven. Can’t really separate these as they are essentially the same game, but I have to give the nod to JotL for one simple reason: set up. I own an $80 insert for Gloomhaven and even with that set up takes nearly as long as it is to play the game, and the scenario booklet that JotL comes with scraps that and cuts the wait time to a quarter.
