 So my final take on Grand Soir, although it's not necessarily a genre that I like, I tend to like this one. It's rather simple for what it is and I would say if somebody's trying to maybe want to investigate this amber vanilla sub-genre fragrances, this is a good one to start out with. But I think this is what MFK does so well, taking these approaches to perfumery, kind of breaking them down into a more simple form and still doing it with this elevated feel. That's what I would say Grand Soir does when it comes to this genre of fragrances and it's definitely one to check out and there's a reason why I decided to review it

 Not to say it's bad, but it does have more involved than what the note profile at least seems on paper. Not going to have a crazy scent cloud, maybe light sea ash with this one, but certainly workable for those cold winter days. And another big point for this fragrance is the fact that I don't think you can put it into a box. It's a fragrance that could be worn by essentially anybody and I'm pretty loose when it comes to like, oh, this is for younger people, this is for older

 I think anybody can wear a grand soir which I think is one of the leading characteristics of this fragrance and why so many people like it. I think a big reason for this is it doesn't contain any of the typical smokey incense or woody combinations commonly paired with amber fragrances making for a more neutral end result. So now some final considerations on grand soir from MFK. Now this genre of fragrances, these kind of resinous amber accord, amber vanilla type fragrances, not typically the genre of fragrance that I'm a big fan of usually

 All in all with this one I get this earthy nutty sweetness in the beginning and to me as it dries down it just gets better and better with time. Two to three hours into this scent and you're still getting that rich, spicy, sweet fragrance that is going to work extremely well in those cooler weathers. If you're looking for a fragrance that is going to allow you to bring some warmth into it then it's definitely one that will work. I believe that the note breakdown not only in this fragrance but a lot of the MFK fragrances come off to be some that are really rich, right? I think that this one does that extremely well, really in a masterful way

 And I think most of you will as well, especially if you're looking for that compliment factor, you're into gourmand-ish type of scents. Not saying that this one is gourmand, but to me it could fall into that lane, obviously with the tonka bean and vanilla there blended really well. So I think this is one that you would enjoy. I do enjoy this one, performance is good, compliment factor is good, and then obviously you have the name backed up by the legendary Francis Kirkjohn and the Sting, and you, my friend, have a scent that you can work with

 However the fragrance that we're talking about today is one that a lot of people would enjoy for the night or for those date you know occasions or just sometime when you know you just want to be a cuddle buddy, you want to smell expensive luxury. This one is from MFK obviously and the fragrance that we're talking about is Grand Soir. Now before we hop into the fragrance let's go ahead and talk about the presentation. Now the box for Grand Soir is upstairs in the sea of boxes that have not been reviewed yet and I was not able to find it quickly so I decided to abort, abort, abandon ship and come down and just talk about this thing here

 This is some lovely green notes at the base. Some sort of a balsam leaf green notes. Very, very nice. Onto my final thoughts

 It's not absolutely not my style. It's not really what I want to do, but I can't help it if I really don't like something. First off, I do like this very much. I think this is just really classic French perfumery

 I think it's finished, beautiful, perfect. So I'm going to give this a 10 out of 10. I think it is excellent, superb, sublime French perfumery. Suitable for everyone or sexes or ages

 Sort of smells really similar. Very nice. They're using a white floral ironone, and that helps to dry up the back of the formulation. It's slightly floral

 Those are pretty much all I'm experiencing in this fragrance, and it's so, so beautiful. When I wear Grand Soir, it actually puts me in Paris because both fragrances, Petit Matin and Grand Soir, were inspired by going out or life in Paris. And when I put on Grand Soir, I just experienced all the bright lights of the beautiful city. I visualized strolling down the Champs-Élysées with all those trees lit up with the lights that they have on them
