Gregory Nano 16

I quite like my Gregory Nano 16L. Straps are quite comfortable and it comes with a removable hip belt. It's top loading with side mesh pockets for water bottles/accessories. Can roll it up or pack it flat.

I wish this had an extra pocket in between the beverage pockets on the outside for sunscreen. Also wish the top loader pocket was bigger to fit: a wallet, keys, eyeglasses case and sunscreen. I used a Gregory Nano 16L for a bit for a similar purpose. Worked well, and had extra space for stowing a sweatshirt, etc. It’s definitely on the budget end of the spectrum, but it stood up to a lot of punishment.

This is a decent day pack, with enough room for a hydration bladder and gear for a good hike. The pack itself is solid, and the compartments close tightly to prevent water from getting in. The Gregory Nano series is great. They have a 20 L available. The length of the hip belt is pretty good too. I have the 16 L and it's been fantastic.

Middle part of the strap is just a piece of mesh without support, so the edge of the strap digs into shoulder and create discomfort.

My other day pack is a Gregory maya 16 and it’s the best day pack I’ve ever had. Tossed a 3L bladder in it and barely notice it. I don’t think you can go wrong with Gregory products, they are wonderful.
