 But what's the point of a simulation game? If you're playing it with a controller, even a wheel clamped to a desk can fail to give you that buzz. So that's why we've been trying out the Gt Omega Prime Cockpit. So how good is it? Let's find out. So anyone who has sunk time into a racing game on a controller has at some stage wish for a wheel of their own

 This really allows you to throw your virtual car around without worry as there is no flex at all. It's easy to get into, comfortable to sit in, and incredibly immersive to racing. As a taller driver and rather large too, the Prime, along with the Xlrs seat, is an absolute game changer for Toby. Perhaps the best part of Prime Cockpit is its ease of use even after hours of racing

Are sim racing rigs worth it

 I say "perfectly setup for me" because you can't easily adjust the pedal position or the steering wheel without breaking out tools. The seating position is the only thing that can be easily adjusted as it's on a slider. This is really non-issue as most people purchasing this will be configuring things for themselves as the sole user.  The only potential weak spot is the shifter mount arm

Profile Base rigs are fairly standardized by now, and most of them are very similar

 They adhere to the same formula for me. I chose with Prime because I'm already a bit of a Gt Omega fan. If you couldn't already tell, I loved my art cockpit, so they already have a little bit in the bank of Goodwill for me. With the Prime being a fairly new contender from a Uk brand with a decent price, I was up for giving it a try

 This is now going to be their top of the tree cockpit and it's set to directly compete with the likes of Stem Labs and Track Racer and all the other manufacturers out there that do these aluminium profile based rigs. Now they are very expensive. As a rule with P1x is what Seven 750 pounds without a seat Track Racer is similarly priced. This is set to undercut both of those by a fair margin and we're going to get on to pricing a bit later on
