 So gorgeous gardenia, we've actually had one, two, three different gorgeous gardenias and now this is the fourth so even though the names the same it comes in this totally different bottle to what we've seen before. Before it has followed the sort of hexagonal Gucci bottles that are modelled on the original Gucci flora eau de parfum and they were just thinner and taller versions of that. This is the first time we've seen it in this new style of bottle which does fit in with the whole Gucci branding that we see at the moment. Loving all these like floral patterns, kind of like 1960s patterns I think or 50s and so it really fits in with that and it is a pretty bottle it is cool but I do wish they called it something else because even though this does have a lot in common with the previous gorgeous gardenias it is a little bit different and I have to say that the very first thing that came to mind when I smelt this was Juicy Couture perfume and that's not what I was expecting at all

 I do say that this is Soki approved I think because the lasting power is good because I'm really getting that projection and if you like sweet perfumes, sweet florals I think you will like this and I like the bottles I'm gonna approve it even though it's confusing I wish they'd just given it a whole new name. I wouldn't be surprised if they started bringing these out in different colored bottles like different versions who knows what they'll do next how to predict the Gucci releases. But guys let me know have you tried this yet what you think of it. I noticed my my Cyrus is the face of the fragrance and considering how pink and like quite innocent smelling this is I was surprised by that because she's a bit of a rock chick so let me know what you thought about that as well

 They have pear blossom as the top note so it's quite refreshing but sweet pear and then jasmine, gardenia and patchouli and I think the gardenia is the strongest of those three notes so you get a very pretty gardenia and then this sugary brown sugar pear blossom. So to me this does smell like a perfume that for a young person but that might be because when I was a teenager everyone was wearing Viva La Juicy and the Juicy Couture perfumes so whenever I smell that I associate it with teenage years so for me this is like the same and it feels to me like something you'd wear in high school you know that type of period of your life where you want something sweet and fun. I wouldn't say it's particularly sexy, say it was a daytime smell. I have found that the lasting power has been pretty good so it's been a few hours since I sprayed it on me and I can still smell it

I bought this perfume because I always use it. At kohl's it was sold out and I decided to buy it here. It really is a copy of the perfume. It has no fixation, its presentation is a paper label

Smell did not last and was different from the department store purchase. Seller accepted a return and issued a refund.

Lacking

It's intoxicating and always put a smile on my face. I also went through 3 samples of Valentino Donna Born in Roma and fell in love with that fragrance as well. Sexy and seductive, but appropriate for daytime. Honorable mentions: Versace Yellow Diamond (like MJ Daisy, add lemon), Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia (original EDT version), D&G Dolce Garden (smells like mango on my skin)

Although not officially over, (and for all intents and purposes won't be over in SoCal for a while) 2021 for a lot of people was somewhat a return to normalcy in terms of socializing, work, school etc. Personally I in w/ friends at the beginning of the summer in a downtown area, vaxxed, pre-delta scare I took the opportunity to wear as many colognes as possible I had access to. Here's some of my favorites from the summer. 

Dior Homme Sport - The 2017 formulation, I've heard people call this run in the mill, but the fact that it's not a blue fragrance and made for Spring/Summer makes it stick out by default. One of the few fragrances where I like the Opening, mid, and dry downs equally as much. Compliments aren't the main appeal to me, but this one garnered a lot in a lot of different situations. 

Perry Ellis Pure Blue - Never hear anyone talk about this, in fact it doesn't even have a frangrantica page, but I tried it at Macy's and got it for half the price of Perry Ellis' site. This was my walking outside/listening to podcasts, errands fragrance for sure this year. Absolute utility fragrance, if I was going swimming, post-beach, etc. 

Goldfield &amp; Banks Pacific Rock Moss - The newer long lasting formulation made me pull the trigger on my only niche purchase this summer. Most of my time was spent socializing at bars, dinners parties etc, and this was my go-to, it's vibe, and I don't know many other fragrances I can describe in such simplicity. To me it was the perfect Southern California summer frag in most social situations. It sparked a lot of discussion and research from people who came across me, and friend of mine even bought a bottle after I told him what it was (i'm ever so salty about it lol). 

Dior Sauvage EDT - Run from it, hide from it, it is inevitable.
