 Okay, so I hate these things. Okay, so oh my gosh. Okay, so this is normally a perfume that I wouldn't normally go for. This is 100% intense, bombastic floral to me, so more specifically in the opening

 So the mid and the dry down of this perfume, to me, it remains a very boozy smelling floral. Like is that even a thing? A boozy floral? I don't think I've heard that very often or anyone else describe something as being both boozy and floral at the same time. But along with it smelling like a boozy vodka and white floral scent, mostly orange blossom and jasmine, I do smell some sweetness emerge on my skin and the sweetness comes from fruit. Um, the fruit smell in here smells like an orange slash peach, like if there was a hybrid between those two, or an orange and a peach had a baby, that's what the fruitiness in here reminds me of

 I think it's a really interesting opening, challenging for someone who doesn't wear a lot of florals or even doesn't like florals, but really, really kind of like opened my eyes. And it's just really so, so, so interesting to me how this how this opening has made me feel. So the mid and the dry down of this perfume, to me, it remains a very boozy smelling floral.  That's what I picture here. So back to the florals in here specifically. The notes say that it's hyacinth. There's a lot of florals in here

Hermes 24 Faubourg EDP Review | Now THIS Is What I Call A Classy Floral Perfume!

 After using Certain Dri instead of a deodorant, I can put a few drops of this under my arms and I gently smell of lovely perfume all day (look up Certain Dri!). Anyway, the color of this perfume was not the same color as my other bottle, and both are eau de parfum. I use it every day, so the $50 helps a lot, but next time I may realize I get what I pay for.

I think this product may not be the same age as "fresh" 24 Faubourg because I notice a few drops of it are not as strong. It is $50 less than getting it direct from Hermes and I cannot seem to find it at Sephora anymore. After using Certain Dri instead of a deodorant, I can put a few drops of this under my arms and I gently smell of lovely perfume all day (look up Certain Dri!). Anyway, the color of this perfume was not the same color as my other bottle, and both are eau de parfum

 There is the Eau Delicate from the 24 Fabourg line that doesn't smell anything like it. I also have the Eau Delicate, and we'll be talking about it in another video. But it doesn't smell anything at all like this, because there is like this is the Eau de Parfum, but there's also the Eau de Toilette in the extraille, which I just mentioned, which I have. I don't have the Eau de Toilette, because as much as it smells very much like the Eau de Parfum, there's something in it that lacks that exuberance

 It's just a very grand bouquet. And I feel that there are some fruits in here, because I do detect that juiciness and plump feeling of a very juicy peach. I don't know if there is peach in here or not, but I get that. And it's very bright, too

 This is my second bottle of this perfume and I really have a really happy connection with it. It makes me feel very..

 It's spicy too, but nothing too much. It's never too much. It's a very strong, very powerful perfume, yet.

Top 10 favorite fragrances of all time

I believe this bottle is either old or not the real product. I am very disappointed but the scent is still one that remains on the body for over 4 hours and is not unpleasant.

 What is funny about this fragrance is that if you open the bottle and you smell it, it smells like classic fragrances. Of course, it's the white flowers, it's the ylang-ylang, it's the orange flower. It's got vanilla, it's got a bit of spices, it's got a lot of musk, a lot of amber. And no, if you open the bottle, just smell and it's like, wow, this is the sort of Ugrani smell

 And today on our non-niche Tuesday, we're going to be reviewing one of my favorite female fragrances of all time. And it's 24 de Fabourg by Hermès. 24 de Fabourg is where the head office of Hermès in Paris. And they've created this fragrance that I find it incredible

 But if you want to have a dinner or something just where you don't want to be that playful, this is just fantastic. I love this one. So what happens is that what I see is that you smell this on the store and you think like, too old for me. But it's not true

 And then you say like, but why is this Juan's favorite fragrance or one of the favorite fragrances, female fragrances? The thing is that this is a misleading scent. Why so? Because when you spray it on, you just spray it like this, you get an amber that comes out alive and kicking. And it comes out with the ylang-ylang. And you say like, wow, this is great

What are your grown-ass woman fragrances?

Great smell if your a grandmother

 Before you get too worried about your nose, test some older EDPs like Chanel no 5, Hermès 24 Faubourg, Givenchy Ysatis or Amarige that are fairly known for being big  perfumes. They won’t be as reliant on iso e super, ambroxan etc in their mix.

I get no sweetness and a prolonged hint of bandaids. Not sure about the other two as I haven’t tried them. Before you get too worried about your nose, test some older EDPs like Chanel no 5, Hermès 24 Faubourg, Givenchy Ysatis or Amarige that are fairly known for being big  perfumes. They won’t be as reliant on iso e super, ambroxan etc in their mix

The first thing I noticed I couldn't smell was ***Escentric's Molecule 01*** (Iso E Super). Turns out that's decently common, due to the size of the molecule. Ok, no big deal, I'm in good company with this one.

Then, I order my (expensive!) sample of ***Baccarat Rouge 540***. Couldn't wait to either love it or hate it, and at last understand what all the fuss is about. I spray it liberally and... nothing. If I dig my nose into my wrist I can make out the faintest of sweet-ish wood scent, but that's it. I'm alarmed but after Googling find one or two mentions of other people also not being able to smell BR 540. Ok, maybe it has some other large musk molecules in it, or something. No big deal.

Next up: ***By the Fireplace***. Nothing. Vaguely sweet wood, the lightest hint of maybe-smoke, but barely.

Another: ***BDK Creme de Cuir***. Four sprays on each arm and I can get the faintest hint of woody leather smoke if I press my nose into my arm and seek it out. In fact, a few of the BDK scents in my sample set are oddly faint, but this is the only one where something is clearly "wrong." No one on Fragrantica says this scent is barely perceptible, though. Nothing even close. What on earth?!

It's really starting to alarm me. Before anyone comments this: yes, I gave them time. Yes, I tried them all more than once and sprayed different parts of my body, including clothing. Same result!

Is this just normal musk anosmia, maybe to a greater degree than most experience it? Did I contract COVID at some point and not realize it? This is unlikely, for reasons I won't bore you with, but still possible. Is my current pregnancy somehow affecting my sense of smell? In all other contexts, I am experiencing heightened sense of smell that comes with pregnancy, and I tend to be a sensitive nose when not pregnant also. 

I know this may seem silly but I'm starting to really worry that my nose is broken, and I'm also starting to get concerned about all the money I'm putting into fragrances I may only like because I can't smell properly (not to mention concerns around how I might smell).
