HEST sleep system for car camping is incredible. Never slept on a more comfortable mattress, well worth the money to me.

  I wish the top was a firmer foam, it really just collapses under me, and the base is super hard even when I do not inflate it fully.  As a result it is more like sleeping on a wood floor that sleeping on a mattress.  Maybe it is because I have too much arthritis for the firmness, maybe I am too heavy for it.  I am debating whether to try it one more time or just give up and return it

Is the HEST Sleep System the Most Comfortable Portable Camping Mattress?

 I'm 5'8" and around 145 lbs and found this to be absolutely perfect and extremely comfortable. However, I had my husband try it out a couple of times and he did not get his sleep using this pad. He's about 6' and around 250 lbs and he just didn't fit well on it all and couldn't get comfortable. While I do find this pad of amazing for my body type, it is quite a bit bulky

 Take the hose and attach it to the pump port labeled out Check and make sure the pump plug is screwed into place on the drop stitch mattress space. Turn the valve cap clockwise to open, press down on the spring-loaded valve stem, and also turn clockwise, connect the hose to the valve. Now pump, The drop stitch base will begin to inflate pump until you've reached desired rigidity. Some people like the base fully inflated to eight or nine psi

 Trust us! remove the hose and replace the valve cap. Now roll. Try to start your roll as tightly as possible by compressing the high quality memory foam with your knee. Use your body weight as you go

 The high quality polyurethane foam will expand into its full form as you unroll it. Now back to the pump. Take the hose and attach it to the pump port labeled out Check and make sure the pump plug is screwed into place on the drop stitch mattress space. Turn the valve cap clockwise to open, press down on the spring-loaded valve stem, and also turn clockwise, connect the hose to the valve

USING YOUR HEST SLEEP SYSTEM

 I’m 5’10” and my feet touch the bottom when my head is about an inch from the top of the bag. If you’re over 6’ you probably won’t fit.

Great product but too heavy

I camp for my job so it essential that I have a good sleep system. This Hest bed is the best system I’ve had when it comes to comfort but it took me a moment to figure out how to get there. The issue for me is that the mattress is way too narrow. I realized that I could detach the inflatable part and basically place it next to the memory foam mattress to make one large mattress

 In the long run I think the system is worth the price but only because there is nothing better on the market at the moment.
