If you're looking for an all-in-one for your office, check out the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. It's a great option for a home office as you can print a good number of pages before either of the cartridges run out, which helps keep running costs low since you won't need to buy cartridges too often. It also accepts third-party ink cartridges, which might help save some money.

The printing speed is great overall; it prints roughly 16 black pages or 14 color pages per minute. Its two input trays hold a total of 500 sheets of paper, which is great for large print jobs as you won't have to refill the tray as often. You can print wirelessly via Wi-Fi, and you can also use the mobile app to print, scan, and fax.

This all-in-one has a flatbed scanner and an automatic document feeder, so you can scan anything you need, whether it's a multi-page document or something too thick to fit in the feeder. Unfortunately, there's a known issue with this model's ADF that causes tilted scans, and while its flatbed scanner can scan thick items, you can't close the lid over things like textbooks because the hinges don't extend. Nonetheless, this is a great option if you're looking for a home office printer that won't cost a ton in ink.

The best HP printer we've tested is the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e, the successor to the discontinued HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. The 9025e comes with HP's Instant Ink subscription, which gives you six months of free ink delivered to your door if you sign up for it. It prints impressively quickly, with very fast printing speeds for documents and photos. The cartridge system yields a great number of black and color pages, and even if you don't apply for the included ink subscription, the cost-per-print is still outstandingly cheap overall. It also prints decent-looking photos with color accuracy that's fine for everyday use. The scanning features are fantastic, with a flatbed that captures good colors and very fine details and an ADF that can scan both sides of a multi-page document in one pass, and faxing capabilities. For connectivity, there's an Ethernet port, support for wireless printing via Wi-Fi Direct, and it can also print via USB flash drives. Unfortunately, it produces tilted ADF scans like the 9025 it replaces, which is a widespread, well-known issue with the model. The 9025e is a great model if you need an all-in-one inkjet for all sorts of uses.

If you're looking for an inkjet printer for black and white prints but need something cheaper, consider the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. It doesn't yield nearly as many pages as the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850, and it prints much slower overall, but it's cheaper to buy up front, and it also has the same scanning features. Unfortunately, its automatic document feeder produces tilted scans, which can be annoying when digitizing important documents. On the bright side, you can get six months of free ink if you register with HP's Instant Ink subscription. It also yields a large number of pages for both black and color documents, which helps keep the cost-per-print incredibly low.

If you want a model with an incredible black page yield that prints much faster, go with the Epson. However, if you need something with the same scanning features that's cheaper, go with the HP.

If you're shopping on a limited budget and find the Epson EcoTank Pro ET-5850 too expensive, check out the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e. It's also an all-in-one with a feature-rich scanner and plenty of connectivity options. However, it isn't a SuperTank and uses ink cartridges instead. The cartridges yield roughly 1100 black pages or 740 color pages, which is significantly less than the Epson but still great. There are higher-yield cartridges available, and it accepts third-party ink, which may help save some money. Also, this model comes with a six-month HP Instant Ink subscription, a service that delivers new ink cartridges when you run low. Its printing speed is great overall, but at 16 black pages per minute, it's much slower than the Epson.

Overall, the Epson is a better choice because its ink tanks yield significantly more pages, and it prints much faster. However, the HP is a great alternative if you want something cheaper that can still get the job done.

 Alright so this is basically what the back part looks like. This is where you plug in the cable right here and this is what the back part looks like right here. So right here we have some more cable slots that you can plug in your cable for like the ethernet and etc right here and I really like this part right here because once you guys pull it out, it's very space saving so when you guys are done using it, you guys can push it back in like this and then push the two buttons on the side right here and here to push back in and then you guys can save a lot of space that way too. And then right here you guys can put in like your papers and then your envelopes in here if you guys want to print stuff on top of the envelopes or on paper right here and then the bottom slot right here, you guys have another slot to put paper here as well and right here we have a USB input if you guys want to plug in your cable right here with a USB as well and then here's a brand logo right there

 The bottom one's a little bit more tighter, the second one on top is a little bit looser. So now if you want to put in the ink, you guys want to open this part right here and it should come out right here. So you guys want to turn it on right here, alright so it's loading and turning on right now. So you can see the indicator light right here to show you guys when it's on and this is for the Wi-Fi connection right here for the wireless connection

 Same thing for the back part as well. And the reason for this is because if you guys look at it side by side, this paper is actually a little bit smaller than the one that we have right here. And that is the reason why. So what I do recommend is that if you guys do end up wanting to scan the piece of paper that doesn't fit correctly on here, I recommend using the actual scanner that's on the actual printer itself

 I love like all the different features on the product, how you can print it and scan it like a regular printer. But it's pretty cool because it has all the other features that a lot of other printers doesn't have or doesn't work as well, such as like the wireless connection option to wirelessly print your stuff. You guys can use the app to print stuff or scan stuff as well. And then obviously the fact that Huawei has a built-in option for like Google Assistant or Alexa option on here is pretty cool

 Luckily for me, the connection magically worked a couple of days later.  And this is about 1 month in.

 I had a problem with network connection to a Synology NAS. I started a chat window for support - no indication of how long it would be. It literally was answered about 10 hours later. I was asleep

 Problems - initial ink tanks are pretty much for demonstration only - will take more than $100 to replace then in the first month. Complete scam, in that regard. - Document feeder does NOT duplex. Not at all clear to me when I bought it, and that pretty much sucks

Printer Options for Daycare

Did Not Meet Expectations

Please bear with me if this question has already been asked countless times. My sister needs to buy printers (two) that will easily run card stock through them – for name badges at a trade show. She's asked me to do some homework for her.

She's considering the [Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 printer for cardstock](https://printerdeets.com/best-printer-for-cardstock/). Any thoughts about this printer, or are there better alternatives?

Best Printer for Cardstock?

 Nice thing about the ink program, you can quit it anytime you want. But you will loose some advanced uses of the printer if you do. Again, read the directions. When it gets a paper jam, I learned that it does not get removed from the back, but that you have to open the front to remove it

 But I got this one and I am going to conquer it one way or another when I read all of those pages. They should have to provide for you, the directions of operation and services and specials on line so you will know what you are getting yourself into before purchase. The print head is made cheap, not as good as the 8725 model, so you must be very gentle with it when changing cartridges. If you want copy a business card or such, it is a pain because it wants it to put it in a certain place on the glass and it will not work correctly until you do what it wants

 It took a couple of days to get things moving overall. Took the ink program. Just make sure you read all the small print in all of the technical guides you need to read to accept the program. Since I had to print everything, I had to join the program before I could find out what was in the program

Difficult to Learn

If you're getting a color xerographic laser/LED printer^(1), you might want to spend closer to $1,000 than $400. Sub-$500 color xerographic printers tend to have high cost per page, and higher-end cartridge-based inkjet printers like the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e can be a lot cheaper to run. While this assumes genuine OEM supplies, even with third-party toner, higher-end models will be cheaper to run.

After browsing this sub for a couple of weeks, I’m still clueless as to what brand of laser printer maker allows the use of third party timers. I am leaning towards Brother, but some say that Brother doesn’t let you use third party toners anymore. 

I am a college student who prints off PowerPoints and study guides often. I would say my page usage is 300-400 pages a month. I need the option of duplex printing. 

Does anyone have any recommendations? 

I’ve browsed staples, OfficeMax, Best Buy, etc, and have read hundreds of conflicting reviews. 

I would appreciate any kind of guidance here. 

My price range is $300-$400.

Looking for a laser color printer that uses third party toner

 I also printed some high-quality wedding pictures and clearly noticed that the Epson printed them out daker and less clarity. In fairness I didn’t dink with the print settings and decided to return. Its possibly my new ET-15000 was just a one off??  So I bought the HP 9025e which had improved results in scanning and printing (see pic) along with all the other functions needed. Scanning Photos, scanning & creating PDF Searchable documents, and quality photo printing were my top requirements
