 And one thing that you're gonna probably notice straight away is that there is a middle table leg right there. And I've also got a foot rest there as well. But the middle table leg is something that really does annoy people, but it's pretty much gotta be there. I'm telling you guys, if I removed that middle table leg, this whole desk would probably begin to like cave in

 And it would just slowly like warp until it would probably eventually break in half. This middle leg keeps everything sturdy, keeps everything you know healthy and all with the desk. I'm telling you guys, if this middle leg wasn't here, this desk would snap probably within a couple months of use, maybe within a couple weeks. It wouldn't last very long, especially once you start adding a couple of monitors to the desk, a pretty heavy PC

 There's a reason why these desks are super cheap though, and that's because they're not really built out of the fanciest, almost sturdy materials out there. The materials the IKEA Linmon desks are made out of is pretty much just like a tiny, tiny thin bit of wood on the edges of the desk, and if you'd cut the whole thing open, you would reveal like a honeycomb cardboard pattern throughout the entire like actual inside of the desk. It's something that I should have done a long, long time ago. Only like £15 for the whole desk, man

 And along all the edges here, there's literally, surprisingly enough, pretty much not a single dent apart from maybe like right there. There's a tiny little dent, but this desk itself has really maintained really good condition over the last year or so that I've used it. In fact, over the last one or two years of ownership, this desk has held up extremely well. Hardly any scratches, hardly any dents, even along the edges here, everything's fine man, the desk is just in good condition after one year

IKEA LINNMON in 2020 - Still worth it?

 The packaging was very substandard and the table arrived with dents / impressions on the desk top (because the legs were in the same box and shrink-wrapped to the top (not the bottom) of the desk top) and a corner was damaged. Not sure it was worth the money - especially given the shipping damage.

I'm a huge fan of Linnmon tabletops and have them all over my house for home recording desks / worktables, etc. They're amazing. Combine with a Bergshult shelf (the heavy/strong one) and CAPITA legs... you have an awesome desk with a monitor bridge/riser, for dirt cheap.

The one that is now gone-- the 60" by 30" Linnmon... the depth of 2.5 feet was INSANELY USEFUL. And 5' wide was the perfect width. This size was also available when it was the VIKA AMON (I have a green one of those).

The new LAGKAPTEN is 55" by 24"... and you can't get it 2.5 feet deep. It only comes with a 24" depth. So, 4 inches narrower, and 6" shallower.

**Why, IKEA, why?!**

Further, the CAPITA legs only come in 4" height. Good thing I invested in a few sets of the 8" CAPITA legs... basically right before they disappeared.  


What are your favorite tabletops (for size... for gaming / music, etc)?

Linnmon now called LAGKAPTEN - and they're smaller (argh).

 If you buy this and then complain that there is a dent in it or that the corners are ruffled then you are retarded. You are dumb and you should feel dumb. Go stop being cheap and buy something that goes with that Armani in your closet.
