hello everyone,

I finally managed to get my hand on rtx 3080 and i am now building a PC.

my plan is this - upgrade GPU every generation(\~ 2 years)) and upgrade the entire rig every other

generation(\~4 years). my main concern with the CPU is that it won't bottle neck the GPU i will upgrade

to in 2 years.

the sole purpose of this PC is **gaming at 4k.**

as we all know, cpu is alot less relevant at 4k which is why i'm debating how much should i really

spend on a cpu. money isn't that much of an issue but i also don't want to spend alot on 

something i don't really need. i narrowed down my choices to amd since i want PCIE 4.0

in my motherboard with the aforementioned upgrade in mind.

so i would love your thought on the matter and while we're at it if you could recommend a motherboard, WIFI 6 is a must so i'm currently looking at ASUS TUF GAMING B550-E.

if you recommend something without WIFI, recommend a network card to go with it.

5600x vs 5900x for future proofing on bottle necking

 It auto-installed drivers and stuff but not the most up to date ones so I just pulled those from the Intel site and it works just fine. It worked fine with the auto-installed drivers but I wanted to get rid of Bluetooth lag. Keep in mind there are separate drivers for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I got it so that I could maybe get rid of some lag from Bluetooth headphones

I was in the same boat and decided to spend the money for an internal wifi card instead, USB is just a workaround and quite the gamble.

My laptop's WiFi adapter seems to be a bit glitchy recently. I'd like to try an USB WiFi adapter/dongle instead. But I only want the tiny small compact ones which are called the "NANO USB" types.

Does anyone know if this "[TP-Link AC600 Archer T2U Nano](https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/usb-adapter/archer-t2u-nano/)" works on Fedora?

I'd appreciate all other suggestions too. Thanks.

 Overall, I am rating this highly as it functions well just be aware that you will need some type of IPEX MH4F antenna whether internal or external.

Does anyone know if I need to do anything within the bios or the os to make the pc use the Wi-Fi 6 card instead of the built in wifi? Or does nothing need to be done once the card is installed?

I'm buying a Framework laptop, and I've heard reports that there has been some trouble with the wifi card it would normally come with, the Intel AX210. Best m.2 wifi card?

I couldn't get it to work in my 2016 HP Envy 15 laptop due to a BIOS whitelist that refuses to support the bluetooth part of this card (despite my installing all the BT and wifi drivers in advance, and the latest 2019 BIOS from HP). I did get it to work in my 2018 Dell XPS laptop, however and it works great. I've read anecdotally that HP no longer does BIOS whitelists, but if you have an older computer, check if they have a BIOS whitelist preventing you from upgrading your wifi card before buying.

So I got the K6 this Christmas! The keyboard works flawless with my MacBook Pro, but when I use it with my PC that don't have a built in bluetooth receiver I'm using a Bluetooth 4.0 from Asus.

It lose the connection or will just respond really slow.

I have the latest drivers and I have change between the USB ports.
