 and again, the price is cheaper so might as well go for that. Unless you really care about the detachable speakers, then maybe you go for this or something else if you care about mid-range and having that equality of all sounds. But that's just my opinion. And if you guys have any questions about the JBL speaker, go ahead, leave them in the comments below or any other specific questions that you can't find

 Snaps right in and it starts charging up again, so then you'll be able to use it at a later time if you look at the actual piece. I mean there's nothing really too special about it. You got the if you're mounting it on the wall, you get the little piece right here and it also comes with a bracket and then I mean it's just a normal. This is a part that connects back to the main sound bar and that's pretty much it just snaps right back in

 same size, another 10 inch but just more powerful and again just no detachable speaker or the sound bar. And yeah, I think that's the better move. Save you some money. It's a 20-19 edition

 That's kind of pointless I Want everything to be Wireless that's why I got a wireless sub connectivity for it. So I think I'll link the one I'm talking about. It's a 5.1 channel surround sound for Jvo as well

JBL 5.1 Soundbar | Review

First-time poster in this sub. I recently purchased the JBL bar 5.1 with detachable wireless speakers.

There are connections across the back panel of the soundbar for HDMI (video in for 4K resolution pass-through), HDMI ARC (TV), optical, USB (for both service and audio playback), and the included power cable. The subwoofer has a power/pairing button on its rear panel, just above the connection for the included power cable. There's an HDMI cable included, but no optical cable.

The remote control runs on two AAA batteries (included), and has buttons for Power, TV (HDMI ARC), Bluetooth, Bass Level, HDMI (This is the video input for 4k resolution pass-through), Volume Up/Down, and Mute. Unlike many of the soundbars we test, there's no selection of audio modes here, like Movie or Music, which is not necessarily a drawback, but it would be nice to have more robust, precise EQ controls rather than a simple bass level range of Low, Mid, or High to choose from. There's no way to adjust treble, for instance. The volume range is 1-31, and at max levels, the system gets quite loud

 For the price, this is a solid system, but those seeking true surround or serious power may want to explore other options.&nbsp;&nbsp;

1 Dolby Surround Sound setup from a single bar and a sub. The Jbl is more than just a sound bar that is meant to replace your Tv's internal speakers. it can also take the place of a modest receiver. It has additional inputs for equipment like your Dvd or Blu-ray player, and has wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 4

 I actually prefer the high frequency performance of the Jbl bar 5.1 to that of our Sonos beam Gen 2, though the sonos may sound a bit fuller, but rolled off to some of you in terms of the bass. Like I said, the wireless sub has some boost and it is noticeable, but it serves cinematic content very well, especially big budget action films. It's not boomy bass or one note

 Turning the sub to low caused the base to roll off considerably, Though this setting proved to be the best for our bedroom. The high setting was not a good fit in either room though. If you like a lot of bass setting, the 300 watt wireless sub to high will no doubt rock your boat, keep it in its medium or low setting, and the sonic handoff between the bar and the sub is pretty seamless. So how does the Jbl bar 5

 But the sound bar is only 50 watts. JBL says 50x5 equals 250 watts. But 5 speakers sharing 50 watts of power is still only 50 watts. Thats marketing for you

 There is little to no mid range. I think JBL over compensates for this with the sub woofer.  Other important notes it has Airplay2! Requires minimum iOS 11.4

Having ADHD sitting at the cinema is torture, so I built my own little 4x4m room, decent 65” 4K HDR TV, still running $1000 JBL Balboa 5.1 and an Onkyo 608. I have a little bit of sensory processing issues and loud noises and bright lights really get at me, so maybe it’s not the same for others, but I prefer my sound system to any SUPER LOUD cinema I’ve been to.

Isn't this a bit "self entitled" don't you think? Do you really think 99.9% of people can and want to spend money to build a home theater? Most of them are not even interested that much into audio/video but story and character development. You can play it in 480p on an 500 inch panel and they wouldn't still even squint.  
Sure our home theaters are better then regular theaters these days but still not even close to the IMAX/dolby theaters.  
And in order to beat regular theaters you need a decent 55 inch + TV that costs around 1500-2000e (sony XJ90, Sony AJ80 LG B1 etc) and a surround sound that can be calibrated to theater reference of 105 dBs with subwoofer going to bellow 20hz. It isn't cheap and most of them don't even care.

I'm with you...currently my current setup is a 65" LG CX and a 7.2.4 dolby atmos system calibrated around a lone recliner (until I find something that fits my needs) and it sh\*ts on the last experience I had at a movie theater.

I love watching movies in my theater but I think you are going pretty hard in the paint claiming a 75” tv and headphones is better than a theater experience. It’s obviously all subjective, but I think you are the minority by a large margin with that opinion.

I think the sound is definitely better at the theater but I haven't watched a movie at a regular screen that I thought was better than what I would get with my middle of the road 65' Sony xh900j 4K TV.  If I ever got something "simple " like a Sony hta9 then I would never go back to the theaters.

I much prefer the convenience of watching it at home vs going to the theater.  I've got so many unused theater tickets that were gifted to me from Costco that I haven't used because I have no desire anymore when  I could just watch in my pajamas at home.

I have an affordable Onkyo powered 5.1 system with Polk speakers and a 6 series 65" 4K TV. If it wasn't for the popcorn and needing to get out of the house now and again, I'd just stay home. I think the home experience is far better than the theater experience, including the D-BOX experience. Sound is more clearly defined and spacial, and the picture quality is better as well.

11.2 Denon and Samsung 8K, plus my couch and my fridge.  Beats the movies all to hell.  I ought to be able to stream it at a price that doesn't subsidize theaters or anyone between them and the studios.

Just went to see Eternals this past weekend. This is just my second theater experience in the past 1.5 years. The other was Fast9. Some things I noted from both experiences:

- sound was lack luster and cracked multiple times. This became distracting. 

- popcorn was not what I was hoping. I don’t know about you but my mind had fabricated this desire of movie theater popcorn. Both times it did not live up to my memory. 

- screen was just okay. Colors and brightness were decent, but I have discovered that I’ve become accustomed to 4k at home and it’s difficult not notice how soft the theater screen is

To me, going to the movies is now a purely social thing. All the moaning of studios and directors that home viewing is a poorer experience is solely driven by money. Even a small television in a dark room with headphones is well beyond todays movie theater quality. 

I watched Dune on my 75” 4k with headphones on in the middle of the night with HBO’s shit streaming quality and it was light years better than Eternals at a swanky theater. 

I compare this to concerts. If I really want to hear an artist and the song in the best quality, I’m not going to expect that from a concert. The concert is the social experience, the CD/Stream is the quality experience. 

Anyone agree?

Studios need to get over it. Home viewing is superior to “going to the movies”

 Which raises an important question….do you really need all that power to listen to the evening news, or daytime programming in general? Most people will probably choose the soundbar route. Just do the research and insist on a 30 day return policy in case your choice doesn’t meet your expectations.

 Streaming content on my Amazon Firestick goes from barely tolerable to loud and dynamic - The Terminal List, an Amazon 4K production, is absolutely awesome. Most 4K Bluray discs have very good to excellent sound, but classic movies from the 50’s and 60’s will sound flat by comparison. It’s a tough decision. If you want awesome home theater to match a state of the art video display, you’ll need a new multichannel receiver with preamp outputs for at least 5 channels, feeding a dedicated power amplifier with certified 100W per channel output, and a speaker set to match

 Sound quality will vary considerably across the video spectrum. Some cable channels come through loud and clear while others will be more subdued. Streaming content on my Amazon Firestick goes from barely tolerable to loud and dynamic - The Terminal List, an Amazon 4K production, is absolutely awesome.
