 It'S a regulated burner and we'll get into the details of that in a little bit, and really the only difference between those three products is the pot size and associated weight. The micro mo is 0.8 liter pot and weighs just around 12 ounces. The minimo has a liter pot and weighs around 14 ounces, and the sumo has the largest pot at 1

 Unfortunately, it's a major design flaw for jetboil, i'm going to show you how you pack it the different ways and uh you can decide for yourself. If that's a deal breaker for you or if you can live with it, all right, so we'll take the stove off and we'll flip the control down we'll pop our canister off and put our canister holder on top of the lid like it was before, which is Kind of a no-brainer - i really like that feature, and now you have a choice. You can take your pot holder and your burner put them in the bag to protect the pot and the burner and put it away and we're good to go. We'Ll put the plastic on the bottom and we're back to where we were at the beginning of the video

 And if we take a look at the lid, it's got a place to drink from, as well as holes to strain pasta or something like that and a hole for a coffee press. And if you look at the flip side of the lid, you notice that it has the canister stand and if i pull this out, you'll notice that it has two ridges one to store a four ounce canister and one to store. The larger eight ounce canister, which is kind of nice. So as we take a look at the inside of the pot, we have a jet boiled bag to protect our burner and inside the bag

JETBOIL MINIMO REVIEW // Is the MiniMo the BEST Jetboil on the market?

 It was also a lot cheaper. Was going to go down to their 1 man tents but they're too small since I want to be able to keep my bag inside (and away from bugs).

Have been car camping maybe half a dozen times 15+ yrs ago and was doing it all wrong (we didn't have access to the internet resources we do now 😂). Got the urge to get over my fear of bugs (mainly spiders) and go camping again. I'm aiming to just trial car camping by myself, but would like to try out some beginner hiking trips eventually (probably with a small tour group that can show me the way). I'll only be camping in pretty mild conditions (say 25ish C down to maybe 10C at most)

..but can do some light hiking. The big front opening, air cover and decent suspension system are the selling points for me

Thought this would be much sturdier @ this price point

 I'M kind of just a regular old three trees, mac and cheese kind of guy. I really liked the PVC coated handles here. Pops right out and another feature that I really love is this top piece which has a mouthpiece on it that you can use for both pouring and, if you're, making coffee in the backcountry. You can fill it put that on the top and then when you're drinking, not gon na burn your mouth, which is huge because typically it's just this metal piece right here and it gets really hot

 Basically, your your pot on this, what they did with the minimo, and I I think that they they've done it for a while, but it's they've they've now included this with the with all of their kits, is adding this attachment that can go on top of your Burning element: it gives you the option to be able to use different pots skillets and be able to do something a little bit more significant when you're, when you're cooking other than just simply boiling water, makes a big difference. I think I also like this simmer control. It'S not super sturdy, but given the fact that so many of these on the market, don't you know it's just fired up turn it. You know it cranks all the way up

 This one actually gives you a lot of different settings, different options to be able to to simmer to boil and to cook again, that's a big deal when you're cooking on something other than you know just boiling water. So the other part that is great is the. I have had no issue with the the ignition starter on the other ones that I've used Primus in particular, for whatever reason I always had that that kind of fail on me after a while it would get hot, it would break off and then you're out there And you're you're, you know trying to light it in the wind, but with this one is you see you know you turn the gas, you press it and it goes right away, which is excellent, always make sure that you pour your water into your into your pot Before you put it on top of the I've done on top of the burner, I've made that mistake myself a couple of times and it's it does not do fun things to the inside of the cup. So now what we're gon na do is see how long it takes us there we go

 Pops right out and another feature that I really love is this top piece which has a mouthpiece on it that you can use for both pouring and, if you're, making coffee in the backcountry. You can fill it put that on the top and then when you're drinking, not gon na burn your mouth, which is huge because typically it's just this metal piece right here and it gets really hot. It also has this kind of Cullen Dirt. These holes right here, which is terrific so that when you've got the water in there it's boiling, if you're, making, noodles or whatnot you can just take and pour the water out which, which is and leave everything else in there

Jetboil MiniMo Review

 Pad is a thermarest neoair regular wide. Stove jetboil minimo. Dog has half a nemo foam pad and a ruffwear highland bag.

The single biggest issue I ran into was my sleeping bag. I have a synthetic 20°F Cats Meow womens long bag. The weight doesn't seem to be horrific but it does not pack down well at all even in compression bags.

 The canister does not fit in the cup with the other items even if you use the smallest canister. This was the biggest issue. Even looking at the instructions it has you leave out the pot stand to fit it all. Bummer

Good, but not great

 So when you need to cook noodles and you need to strain water or whatever it is, you need to cook that you need strain. You can pour from that side, which is amazing. So it comes with this little pouch, which also comes in handy because i can put in the extra accessories. Another good thing i like about this is that it ignites itself

 This is also very portable, like this one changes in orientation like this, but it comes so so handy so you put it up here. It actually locks in place, so you just have to put it in and then twist it. Oh, i twisted it the other way and then it locks in place, and now you can cook up on top no problem. Another feature that i like is the handle, so it's very easy to use

 Third thing i like is that it comes with this stand, so when you go to places where there's no stable ground, you can this um one comes in hand. Another thing is, if you don't have this or if you need to cook with a pan or with a different kind of cookware, this can actually still be used because it comes with this. This is also very portable, like this one changes in orientation like this, but it comes so so handy so you put it up here. It actually locks in place, so you just have to put it in and then twist it

 It makes it for easy pouring or when you have to eat straight from the pot. Another thing that it comes with is this: so this has um measuring lines here, so it's a measuring mark, so it's up to 300 ml. So if you need to measure water, you can use this, but or just to hold that in place for storage. I usually do it like that, because, usually it's hot down on the bottom jets are, you know, fly fast, and so this also boils water fast, like faster than i used to bring that just like msr stove, msr stove

Honest Review: Jetboil Minimo

A cozy is not essential. I just hold my pot by the handles anyhow, but you could use a glove or bandana if you need insulation for your hand or for your contents.

MSR WindBurner Duo and JetBoil MiniMo are integrated pot/stove systems that will boil stuff fast. That's fun, but not the lightest you can do. I have a MiniMo -- jetboil established this market segment and has a great reputation.

 At the extreme end of the system is what folks here call "BRS 3000t" but is really a whitelabel import good I'm sure you can get in the UK. This will be fussier but lighter, even after adding in a pot. Ones with less mass don't self-light, but you'll need to carry a lighter anyhow.

Newbie looking for a 2-person cooking system. I need help with selecting the stove and the cookware/pots etc as I am starting from scratch. Price is not a problem, but I need help understanding what the best/lightest option is for my trail conditions. I'm in the UK, backpacking 3-season so my major concern is that it's often windy, rainy and cold near freezing 0C/30F in the hills here.

As a total noob I have been doing a lot of reading and some options I found so far:

- MSR WindBurner Duo
- JetBoil MiniMo
- Soto Windmaster

The MSR WindBurner Duo comes with a 1.8L pot and cozy and weights 480g. You can nest an extra MSR 1L pot and cozy, which weights another 270g. It's a remote stove so I wonder if this is the best option for windy conditions if I put down a big wind shield around it? My biggest question is whether this is overkill, 1.8L + 1L seems quite a lot for two people but at the same time having two pots is kind of essential.

JetBoil MiniMo comes with a 1L pot and cozy and weights 415g. Seems to have pretty good performance on windy conditions even without a wind shield? Also seems to get a bit of hate in this sub :). My biggest question is what other pot to pair it with for two people, not sure if there's any option that fits neatly inside/outside of it like the MSR WindBurner.

Soto Windmaster is the lightest option by far at 86g, but needs to be paired with pot/cups and cozys and probably needs a gas canister support as well and I'm concerned this isn't a remote stove so not sure how to pair it with a wind shield. This much stuff to chose from to be honest is quite overwhelming for a newbie like me :)

2 person cook system help

Slight defect. Lower price.

 Now you can have no more spills and turn you gas up. As you can see, you got quite a few turns there, so you've got a lot of power control there. I think you want to turn down to a simmer. You'Ve got more flexibility there and say you want to use the supplied pot

 Right now and I say lights fading I've got to get this done right, yeah. So then I've got the lid which has got the pot sport in the top, which is brilliant. Then inside now I thought I'll actually being a little bit jammy here, because when I opened it up, I wasn't expecting this got the burner, which is great, but you've also got the pot support as well. So if you want to use like a traditional kale or a frying pan or a saucepan of your choice, you've got that option and all they do is they just open up now? I didn't know that this was included

 So that's got that kudos straight off the bat I also with the zip and the flash I've noticed. They'Ve got like a sort of fabric handle and with the common fire star, I didn't really get on well with that. In fact, I think you can actually see me struggling with it when I tried filming at breeding on the hill trying to pour it in. So I've gone for this one

 Support wishes they're just open these out, which support the phone and then oh yeah job done, [ Laughter, ], [, Music, ]
