Is Johnson's baby oil good for adults skin?

Hi all, my first post here! I hope this is an appropiate sub for some tips if not i can try somewhere else!

We just had our babies 2month checkup and the nurse diagnosed him with cradle cap. Im a FTM and everyone said dry skin was normal and it will take a few months before it goes away so i wasnt worried. But now i guess im realizing i should have worried?? Anyways the nurse suggested selsum blue but my local walgreens is out. I will have to make a target run later. I was googleing(sp) and i saw frida baby has a cradle cap brush. Has anyone used this? Is this a good idea? The nurse said to use selsum blue and comb out the dry skin. Im scared it will hurt my baby. I dont care that it looks scaly but she thinks baby might be itchy bc he has a few scratches in his face! 😩 we filed his nails but he still gets some good scratches in. Also his skin is dry and his forehead is super dry. I have been using aveeno calm night time baby lotion after baths every 3 days. But i have not put anything on his face/forehead. When we give him a shower we do scrub his cheecks lightly but nothing major. Any tips on which shampoo or lotion worked better for your babies? Thanks in advance!

<p>ETA UPDATE: thank u all for your suggestions!! I was able to lather babys head with coconut oil 30plus minutes before the shower. Then i rinsed it out and used Muselas foam cradle cap shampoo. I also got the Frida cradle cap kit and used it right afterwards. After 2 times of doing this it looks like he is 99% cradle cap FREE!! I say 99% because its all gone but maybe i might have missed a tiny bit somewhere? Do my eyes deceive me? Did i get it all? I hope i did. Im pretty sure i did. I thought it was going to hurt my baby but no, he was a champ and actually probably enjoyed it. I also used Aquaphor like suggested for his dry skin and that is also working out great. I try and lather it on him two times a day sometimes just before bedtime and it seems to be doing its job! Babys forehead is not dry anymore.! Im soo soo satisfied and happy. Thank u all!! I hope it doesnt return but i will be keeping an eye out. Idk if i should continue with using mustela shampoo now that its gone or switch back to regular aveeno for his hair again? Thank you!</p>

Cradle cap tips appreciated

 It is child proof, it has the child squeezing protection element to it, so that's pretty cool too. You don't want your child drinking this. It does look like water if you don't feel the texture or anything like that. But anyways, that would do it for me for this review

 The only ingredients it has are mineral oil and a fragrance. So it's very harmless, it doesn't have any kind of special weird chemicals in it, which is why it's meant for use with babies. It's a great thing to put on your skin to just make it a little bit softer, especially during the winter time. It's kind of like used with lotion, but it's in oil format so it's more easily spread

 I would just pick it up, that's pretty much all there is to it. I guess I can talk about the lid a little bit. It is child proof, it has the child squeezing protection element to it, so that's pretty cool too. You don't want your child drinking this

I purchased the Johnson and Johnson oil, lotion and body wash for my newborn and she broke out in the most horrible rash, costing us hundreds in medical bills and a course of steroids before she recovered. A ONE MONTH old. She's doing perfectly well now with a different product
