The beads roll smoothly without any pinching or snagging, and the knobs are great for quickly warming up large muscle groups. It's also quite affordable, and it comes with a handy instruction pamphlet of exercises. 
The large, textured beads and metal axle make it difficult to target specific areas, though. The ease with which the beads roll over the axle means they slip and slide while you're trying to bear down on a knot, especially compared to models that feature a single moving cylinder. The Kamileo is also somewhat painful to use for sustained sessions. We recommend a barrier of clothing while using this roller since we found it abrasive on bare skin.

 I went for a run earlier and I can feel quite a few knots already in this calf muscle down here and I'm very well established within barefoot running minimalist running absolutely phenomenal product. Why would I would not want to be training for an Ironman put it that way without one of these painful, sometimes when you're actually doing it, it should be a little bit painful, not injury pain. So don't push anything like that, but if you feel and not really roll it out, this should be in anybody's arsenal. If you're a runner, cyclists triathlete whatever it might be much much better than foam, rollers foam rollers are way more expensive and you have to get into all kinds of contorted ridiculous positions to try and roll up your quads or your hamstrings

 If you're transitioning into minimalist running. For example, it's fantastic on your calf muscles. Let'S go: let's go hamstrings so now my hamstrings a little bit tight at the moment you just literally roll, can put a little bit of welly into it. How I start is by rolling the entire muscle trying to get all the angles in there and eventually you're gon na find a knot, and you can work that knot out with this

Didn’t work for us

I started hiking regularly again after months of being locked in due to COVID and started to feel my calf start to cramp whenever I'd get about half a mile in.  This is has helped out for the most part. Probably need to see an actual physical therapist but this was able to alleviate around 60% of the pain.

It's good for It's intended use

Convenient size, fits in all my bags for volleyball. Almost instant relief upon use. It gets very deep and looses my legs up within a couple mins. I use it before and after games/practices and have absolutely no complaints

Great to massage your legs before running

  I felt as though I had just paid substantial money for a deep muscle massage. I had been so sore and stiff. That was about the only thing that would have eased my excruciating pain. But, for how long!?  I have been able to walk all through the house today without using my cane or graduating to a walker

Quick Relief turned Skeptic into a Believer

I bought this as a gift for my husband who has a chronic hamstring injury dating back to 2012. He's had good results from PT but always had stiffness while driving and after walking up hill, snow shoveling, raking leaves, anything that involved bending over. He started using it for a 6 hour drive and said it completely relieved his muscle tension by placing it under his hamstring.
