Keeley Caverns V2

There you have it from Keeley Electronics, the Caverns Version 2 Delay and Reverb. Combined delays and reverbs get some cool modulation going.

Delay/Reverb: Keeley Caverns V2 ($140/$180). Total comes in at $450 brand new for all, significantly less if you're comfortable shopping used. Leaves you plenty of $$ left over for the board itself, power supply and cables. These are just my choices - there are plenty of budget-friendly options in each category.

Today I picked up the Keeley Caverns V2 delay/reverb for almost $30 off at guitar center. This was my first expensive pedal i’ve had that wasn’t a gift so this felt very satisfying to finally buy. It has tons of options for both sides and built in shimmer and vibrato which makes it almost like 4 pedals in one, and an extra knob labeled warmth on the reverb side. Overall this was worth every single penny and is my current favorite pedal.

Anyway, I headed back and swapped for the Keeley Caverns based on a few Youtube videos and crap, it does not disappoint. The normal verb, reverb mod and shimmer settings are lush, expansive and absolutely gorgeous sounding. The delay setting is right in that ms sweet spot I like at 650ms and the flutter/wow is cool but for now I like it best off.

I prefer the Keeley Caverns myself. I think it sounds fantastic, is even smaller, and even though it doesn't have nearly as many options, it is still pretty flexible. Plus it's around half the price, if that matters to you. Also, I wouldn't consider the Cosmonaut V2 a reverb / delay combo.
