It also heats back up after dropping frozen food in it within 35 seconds, while lower-performing models take two to 12 minutes. Like some of the more expensive models, the Keylitos is protected by a waterproof rating of IXP7, protecting it even when completely submerged.

If you are looking to break into the world of sous vide cooking and would still like to have enough money to buy a nice cut of meat after, the Keylitos is the perfect option.

 Then, over the 5 hours I had set for the cook time for, I kept checking the temperature and it never waivered beyond 1% fahrenheit plus or minus, with it being right on target most of the time. When the temp did waiver, it recovered to the programmed temp very quickly. I would note I had no heat proofing on the outside of my stock pot and the heat loss by the pot was considerable. I was pleased with how good the unit kept the programmed temp regardless

Great for first time user

I have been interested in a Sous Vide machine for sometime, but was puzzelled as to which machine would be best for my use. One common complaint was Bluetooth connectivity and how many machines received a bad review over this issue, pairing with their particular device. Do you really need bluetooth? This machine is supposed to be set and forget, I see no real reason why you need an appliance like this to connect to your phone. I picked this machine because of great reviews and simple operation (an lower price did not hurt either)

I received the Sous Vide quickly and with 24 hours was cooking my first Chuck Roast. 136F for 24 hours, quick sear before bagging and an oven baked crust after the cooking bath produced a tender, flavorfull roast for 4 at under $10 (compared to a $60 rib roast, this was the greatest roast beef dinner ever)
