Safest Choice for Large Dish Drying Rack

Major flaw

 I decided not to return it because this kind of thing was bound to happen eventually and it didn't affect the functionality of the rack (it was just a chip off the underside of the insert and not visible once assembled). But it's a reminder that the sturdiest item is only as strong as its weakest component. Aside from that minor mishap, it's doing its job well and I'm happy with the purchase. Hopefully the overall lifetime of the product will justify the cost (it's not cheap!)

 Basically every problem I've had with other dish racks has now been solved, and I have fallen in love with this piece of metal and plastic.

 It's deep and huge, with solid sides and a giant utensil cup area that drains well, is easy to clean, and which has little removable inserts that make it so much easier to dry tiny things that otherwise would get lost down in the bottom of the cups or on the drip tray. It's very sturdy; it can easily hold my two cast iron skillets standing up on edge, without tipping or feeling at all off-balance.  It's also very attractive. We have hard water and somehow it still remains spot-free though it's been in use every single day for weeks

We go through racks around here! Lots of dishes to be done and pots/pans. The design seems to be one that will last - we are really hoping the underneath part (water guide) will not crack up thought that must be a challenge with all the soap, banging and temperature changes these products get - eh? I like how the wire is protected by a soft coating that is fused with the thick rack - good design.  The knife holder becomes more useful than constantly putting our knives in a drawer and is a safety feature (no pointy edges waiting). The hanging rack feature has its benefits too for delicates that just need to be hung away from the rest
