 I just scrub the sides and bottom.  It is a little pricey, so make sure you're not likely to lose it. I purchased this for children and they have managed to hang on to it (with help).  It does dent if you drop it

 However, we are still able to get the lids off without intense labor -- including the children.  This has a shiny finish.  It was cheaper to purchase it here than on their website. With Amazon's great return policy, I had to shop here

 This was an intense discussion of metallurgy.  If you subscribe to the belief that plastic is harmful and are looking for a stainless steel water bottle, this company is a good one. I don't think this is made in China. I mention that for purposes of litigation in case you learn down the line that this doesn't meet safety standards

 It turns out the size doesn't work for me, and I cannot really work my way with it. I cannot put all my mouth around it - it's uncomfortable to drink, and simply looks weird :) And If I try to drink the normal way, as I would do with other wide neck bottles - my nose gets in the way, even tho I'm lucky to have a small nose :) I can manage somehow, if the bottle is half full. But if it starts to be half empty, I spill the liquid on me almost every time - which makes it impossible to grab a sip on the go, in the car/bus/train, or during the training. It's very disappointing - I've really had such high hopes! I still try to use it from time to time - but since mostly I use my bottle to carry it around, I simply choose other ones, since this one simply doesn't work for me in such situations :(

 It does what it promises: doesn't leak, holds hot/cold drinks. It also doesn't get this weird smell, when being closed for some time - I have that problem with other bottles with plastic/rubber elements. The cap tends to jam, but that's not a big issue. The main point is the size of its neck - IT'S TOO WIDE to drink for me

Great bottle, but it does NOT come with the Sport Cap 2.0 despite what the listing says

This bottle is great. Well made and a very good, sturdy design. It looks good too with the bamboo cap and no plastic parts to crack, or paint to chip. I've had it for a while now (year or so) and so far it has held up very well

  2) The bale on the cap popped off once, but it's easy to put back on. While I'm driving, the bale can rattle against the side of the bottle if I'm on bumpy pavement. Again, not really a complaint so much as a comment on the limitations of the materials used. It's not a silent water bottle

 I really like that the entire interior is stainless steel (as opposed to many with plastic lids, which defeats the entire purpose). I figure it's the safest material, except glass, until we figure out biochemistry well enough to know which plastics are truly safe.  I've had it for about six months now and FYI I've only ever used it it for water at room temperature. Overall I'm still content with it
