 Now when it comes to performs, there are a lot of good things happening here, especially when it comes to the mid-range in trouble. And if you like detail, there is a ton of it here. I was actually really surprised right away. How much detail is there, especially when you get to dialogue, there's a lot of those little subtleties that you don't really expect from a bar of this price category and in fact it beats one of our favorite new bars

 But that is very interesting because at $ 300 you really don't see much style in sound bars. These days you can see it's got the tractor, its horns here now, that's a patented designed to help with the sound, but it also looks really cool. But maybe the most interesting thing here is that this is an MDF cabinet. Now it's almost all MDF

 It also has a night mode which can lower the bass for when the baby's sleeping it has a dialogue mode that pep up the mid-range and virtual surround which, like most bars in this price point, isn't all that immersive. But does expand the soundstage a little bit. I was also glad that it came with an HDMI cable. I'Ve seen a lot of bars that do not come with HDMI cables at this price

With Surround mode enabled, the audio seems to get louder, brighter, and yes, perhaps a tad wider, but there's no real sense of true surround, obviously. The bass depth is roughly the same, perhaps a bit more pronounced, in Surround mode. When the Death Star explodes in Stars Wars: A New Hope, the Bar 40 delivers some restrained rumble in Normal mode, and some slightly stronger bass rumble in Surround mode&mdash;but there's no denying that the audio sounds clearer, with better separation and crisper dialogue and effects, in Surround mode.

On Jay-Z and Kanye West's "No Church in the Wild," the kick drum loop gets enough high-mid presence for its attack to retain its punchiness, though we found dialing the sub back here evens out the bass response with the highs, giving the whole track a bit more crispness. The sub-bass synth hits that punctuate the beat are delivered with some strong bass depth, but it's actually the drum loop that sounds more powerful. That tells us there's more boosting happening in the lows and low-mids than there is in the deepest sub-bass. Of course, messing with the sub levels can alter this

The second is that if you turn on the sound bar using the Bluetooth on your phone it doesn’t seem to turn on the sub as well, so you have to turn on the sound bar with the remot to get it to work. Great quality, just a couple small problems

 The remote lacks EQ controls, and the limited features it has are pretty much bass/volume up / down, source selection, and crappy simulated surround modes I’ve never used on any product. Like I said, I do like the bar itself, and that it has Bluetooth. For the money it’s fine for my garage, or would assume a small apartment living space. But for those who appreciate balanced performance, gain controls on the sun, and an eq, I’d go a model up as my mom nderstamding is it has all of the aforementioned

Good price, just know it’s limits

Purchased as replacement for my old RB 2 used with a 55-inch TV. It sounds great but dialogue isn't always clear and there's some "thumping" breakup when pushed. Suspect this is partially related to it being a bit under-powered. I ended up replacing my Bar 40 with the Bar 48 which doesn't have those problems

Klipsch is a great product as far as sound goes. The sound bar was working great until the subwoofer started this humming sound. I did everything to fix it but it kept humming. A friend of mine is a tech nerd and stands by Klipsch so I will probably get another one later in the future I just think I got a bad one
