 If you're not familiar with these curves basically as we move along the graph we go from the lower bass to the higher treble frequencies and if a piece of equipment is truly neutral then the line would be completely flat like that but that's quite hard to achieve mechanically and it doesn't make for that lively exciting sound signature which our fun-loving auditory nerves crave unless you're an audio engineer or a serious audiophile you're after a bit of oomph. So the X-Pros in common as many budget IEMs give a slight lift to the bass frequencies as you can see here and also to selected upper mid-range and treble frequencies this is a really common maneuver to give the illusion of some extra impact in the bass and try and bring the vocals and the high frequencies to the fore. Now I'm sorry for that science lecture I promise I won't go on any longer go away iPad man do I love science though. Graphs are one thing though but how do these actually sound and are they worth the praise which dank pods lavishes on them? Well I'm pleased to say that for the money these actually sound very decent yes you'll keep hearing me say for the money because you need to remember that these things cost a week's worth of posh lattes from Cafe Nero here in the UK obviously up against something like the Shure SE535 they sound rubbish however these probably cost about a year's worth of Cafe Nero lattes

 The mid-range is on the whole slightly recessed but it's still present and indeed it's still pleasant. Now the first big boost comes in the upper mid-range which unfortunately can make vocals particularly high male and female vocals sound a little bit shouty and fatiguing. The next boost is in the mid treble range and this gives rise to some sibilance on higher pitch vocals and also on cymbals. Overall these do make all the higher frequency range sounds a little bit grainy at higher volumes and when you compare them to more expensive offerings such as the Moondrop Starfields at about 70 pounds they don't sound as smooth in comparison and you realize the limitations of only spending 20 pounds on headphones

 Good job mate! I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone wanting decent sound for relatively little money. However I think you can do better at the sub £30 mark and keep watching the channel maybe even go crazy and subscribe to hear my thoughts on other contenders. KZ ZSN Pro X Review: Can You Trust DankPods?

The IEM's pictured are the KZ ZSN's, and the iPod is a 5.5 Gen iPod, 30GB, and I'm planning on flash modding it once I receive all the parts. My First IEM's (and my audio setup) as a 13 year old with limited budget

Don't look like the picture but they sound good and they work well

 It'll get you know pretty noticeably louder at the same volume settings versus the ZSN which I don't know maybe that's something you need but for most headphones or most players either headphone really is plenty sensitive. For me the bigger differences come down to the tuning so I think I mentioned they're going for basically the same sound signature which is to say there's you know elevated bass specifically a lot of sub bass and you know slightly elevated a little bit of emphasis in the upper mid-range. It's not a warm sound it's a pretty typical V sound and the ZSN Pro again a lot like the original ZSN. That said I think that the sound here is a lot more refined

 So out of five stars I'm gonna have to give the KZ ZSN Pro a solid four stars. I think that the tuning on this is just a step above what you got with the original ZSN to the point that I think it's actually pretty pleasant to listen to and the tonality here actually I think is a step above the KZ AS-06. So is it worth upgrading to this from the original ZSN? I don't know look if you're going to be spending another $25-$30-ish I would recommend the Moondrop Crescent. I still think that I still think that's a little bit better executed the bass on that is just about perfect for me but if you really want a lot of sub bass you might like this and really if you're just starting out with the IEM game and you want something that looks like this with a removable cable you can go a lot worse than the KZ ZSN Pro

 This is the typical KZ cable and it does have the pre-formed ear hooks like I like. It's just that the ZSN, the original ZSN, at least the purple one, it seems like it's specifically the purple one, it came with a nice copper cable and I just like the way that looked. This cable is the typical KZ brown, not my favorite, but look for $25 this build is pretty solid. So there's not a lot of difference in the build of the ZSN Pro where the main differences are in the sound and okay it's going for a pretty similar sound signature but one big difference right off the bat is that the ZSN Pro is quite a bit more sensitive

 It's not a warm sound it's a pretty typical V sound and the ZSN Pro again a lot like the original ZSN. That said I think that the sound here is a lot more refined. On the original ZSN look it's a $20 headphone so my expectations are not massively high but the the bass is a little bit I don't know it's a little bit it's a little bit blunt and single note while the treble has a tendency to be a bit grainy and I don't have either issue here with the bass there's a little bit more texture in that sub bass and then in the treble it's just a lot smoother roll off. It does maybe seem like it's not quite as extended as it is on the original ZSN but I think that the overall the overall effect of that is just a much more pleasing sound

Headphones from the left to the right: Jabra Elite 65t, KZ ZSN PRO, Moondrop Starfield, Koss porta Pro, Philips SHP9500. As you might have noticed, these are all pretty standard widely recommended headphones so I won't get into much detail here (If you want more detail about any of them feel free to ask). Starting with the 65t's, I bought them for watching youtube and movies on my phone. Decent sound overall, very comfortable, only real flaw is the case. No magnets and micro USB. KZ ZSN PRO, good budget IEM can recommend. Moondrop Starfield, oooooh boy these are a good one. Currently the newest in my collection, arguably the best sounding aswell. I fell in love with how they look and sound, absolutely amazing and I can recommend them to anyone who's looking for a new pair of IEM's. Koss Porta Pro, another classic. Perfect comfort, good sound, decent price. They're my main gaming headphones (I mainly play rhythm games). Philips SHP9500, the "sit down and listen" headphones, great Soundstage, lots of detail (not as much as the Starfield but more than the others) comfortable but I can definitely feel them on my head. I also use a Fiio BTR3k but since I just got it I'm not going to say anything about it... yet.

What is it with these? All of the ingredients are wrong. Flimsy build, fixed cable, dodgy comfort switch, 80s ugly, lo-fi sound, all mid-bass, treble MIA. But... for some reason... I love them. I can't explain why.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON PERSONAL PREFERENCE ONLY! Which is why I'm giving them four stars, even though for me personally they ended up being a negative-please-send-help-these-make-me-want-to-d-word-stars.  I think these would be great for people that either specifically know what they're getting into/wanted in-ear monitors in the first place, or people that don't have issues sitting still.  But for me? I just wanted some decent wired earbuds and went with these cuz I heard that in-ear mics have better quality audio. But I am NOT an audiophile and should have known normal earbuds would have been fine for me

Hey guys DMS here today I have for you a review of the Kz Z Sm Pro IEMs Now these are super cheap. like $20 cheap and you can get them on Amazon So I have a few KZ Zinn here and I check them out for a few weeks. This is what I have to say I Got my notes on my phone so if you see me looking down I am reading off these don't want to miss anything. so these are super light mostly because they are mostly plastic and they're pretty cheap IEMs Let's be honest, but they do have an attachable cable

 Now this specific one has one dedicated dynamic driver and one balanced armature in the nozzle. So dual driver and the dynamic is something they call a double magnetic dynamic. Now on top of that, these also claim to offer 26 decibels of noise reduction. So not the best, not the worst, but pretty good

 Now, are there IMS that sound better for double a price around $50 Absolutely. You should be looking at the final E Two thousand if that is more your price range, but for the twenty dollar area and a little bit above that, you're probably not going to beat these. I'm gonna keep looking around and see if I can find something better, but if you get these, you're certainly not getting a bad deal. I'm gonna say this one more time too if you get these, I Highly recommend getting de Koning tips for them

Am begginer audiophile. Here's my collection! Feedback welcome.

 The highs are less harsh than the ZST and the overall sound presentation is wider and smoother. Definitely worth the few dollars to go for these over the ZST. Still kind of plagued by the general fatiguing V-shaped intensity of most KZ products, but fun and sturdy for the $.
