 The edge was rough with burrs, scratched my pan, and prevented it from sliding effortlessly under food. I used a sharpening stone to remove the burrs and smooth the edge. For the price, and per the reputation of Lamson I expected a premium, ready-to-use cooking tool. The finish was what I expect from a cheap, stamped-out discount no-name tool from the dollar store

  I use this spat for everything not just fish!  Three stars is because the item I received does not match the quality of other LamsonSharp tools I own (purchased elsewhere). it seemed like someting you'd find marked "cosmetic defect" - the rivets are dinged and not fitting flush and the handle is not finished cleanly on all edges.  This item was purchased and reviewed without incentive or discount.

The Turner I was looking for.

I love this slotted turner, but you have to be very careful because the handle will melt if you let it rest on the side of the frying pan. It's too bad because it should have gotten 5 stars; but because it was so easy to melt, 4 is the most I can give. I have two bad indentations on the handle which irritate my fingers when trying to use it.

I saw the Pioneer Woman using something like this when she cooked in her cast iron pans. We cook all the time in cast iron pans and this spatula has turned out to be great for getting into tight spots. Can't say anything yet about durability, but so far so good

Excellent USA Made Turner. Please Offer Solid Version!!!

This has become the turner I use most often. The generous size makes it easier to flip pancakes and such. The thinner blade and tapered leading edge let it slide more easily under the item being lifted, and the slots help keep the item from slipping off while being transferred from pan to plate. I found that I wanted a little more knuckle room, so I bent the blade a few degrees where it joins the handle, but this is a personal preference and not a shortcoming of the turner

 This feature has managed to scratch up my carbon steel pan. Im going to try to round off sharpness with steel wool
