The two recommendations we've had are for the Dr Brown's bottle (didnt work for us) and the Lansinoh Momma bottle (this one worked - the texture of the nipple is different and softer). We have her facing out, very warm bottle, and sometimes will have the sink faucet running to kind of soothe/distract her. First day she took 3 ounces, by the end of that week she took 10 ounces. It did take us like 8 week of trying bottles periodically and failing.

the only bottle my EBF baby would take was the Lansinoh Momma Bottle. It saved me. Someone on here suggested it to me and my son took it like it was nothing the first time and before that it took us literally hours to get him to drink from a bottle.

The Lansinoh momma bottle and I use a Spectra pump. We used Dr. Browns bottles with my first which also worked well. The Spectra is far superior to the Medela Pump In Style Advanced I used with my first—it is quieter, stronger suction, and the closed system means no condensation in the tubing. I had that issue with the Medela within the first few times I used it.

I used the pump and bottle fed exclusively for several weeks because my nipples were so extremely sore and only around 6-7 weeks we started ebf with bottles at night and during babysitting sessions, until he started refusing bottles and I had to get the lansinoh momma. Date night saved! Do your research.

Also, if you haven’t tried them, the Lansinoh Momma bottles saved us. They allow baby to use the same motion as nursing at the breast. That and suck training with the TommeeTippee pacifiers did wonders. We went through every type of bottle and pacifier before those.
