 As an experiment we used it for a tank full in another room all day with little interference from currents or people walking by with the warm mist. It was much more effective and consistent in this decent sized room and agreed with the hygrometer 90% of the time. However, when I walked by, opened the garage entry door (12 feet away) or did activity behind the unit (reading newspaper, sitting up and down, etc), it did the same inaccurate and fluctuating humidity detection causing the unit to not achieve the desired level. And as mentioned the unit can 360 direct mist, but the left front is where the humidistat is and that's not a good place to direct it

 We wanted warm mist functionality and only warm (for a bedroom) and so we are returning it for that reason.

 Then the humidity % drops enough to kick back on and we start over. This all is highly susceptible to air currents and even people coming near or walking by. Yes, the unit turns back on within a minute because the humidity level drops (to where it should be), but this can't be efficient operation in terms of energy and water usage. Maybe because the humidistat is at the front left side of the unit

 We never experienced the steam being too hot to burn us nor did we notice any water accumulation around the unit. One last thing, the cool mist was only tested a little as we wanted warm mist. We believe the cool mist had a better chance due to not using as much water and the mist didn't seem to be as disruptive in the humidity level. However, this was only a short test of the unit as the beginning and was not tested further in any detail so keep that in mind

Very good with a few issues/flaws and we only used as a warm mist and it rated as such

I needed to humidify an addition to the house that has its own independent HVAC, which means it's not tied in with my whole house humidifier. It gets extremely dry in the winter and I have guitars that need consistent humidity. My luthier has a similar model to this and has been happy with his for a couple of years, so I took a chance on the same brand. It's easy to fill, and I like that

Solid Performance

 The tank is pretty large and holds a good amount of water. Nitpick on the tank: even when it’s closed/sealed well and you pick it up, water tends to splash into the basin and sometimes surrounding the device. Made me nervous to place directly on my wood furniture (it’s on top of a waterproof mat now).  All in all, I’m happy with my purchase, just wish the humidity reading was consistently accurate

Reached a dry season where I live and wanted a quick fix. However, humidity can vary almost week to week and decided to splurge a bit more for a humidifier that can start/stop based on the current humidity read. The auto mode on this humidifier is awesome for that. You set a target humidity and the misting only starts once the current room humidity has dropped 5% below that (and stops misting when approaching 5% above)

Pretty Good, Love the Auto Setting

This unit is well built. I purchased it to increase the humidity of an air conditioned room. With a 18k air conditioner and 31c outside temperature, this unit cannot keep up with the moisture removal ability of the air conditioner so I don't run it while the air con is on. At night, it works great for keeping a comfortable humidity and the sleep mode is great as it turns off the display

It's good but I don't like the app

While I am impressed with the amount of humidity this adds to our house during the winter months, it does leave an incredible of white residue on every surface in our house. I have used hard water, soft water and distilled water in this unit and know that this humidifier works best with distilled water. I just can’t justify using 3 gallons of distilled water (at $1.25 per gallon) every day

 The other option would be to put a nearly $300 reverse osmosis system in our house to fill the humidifier reservoir. Either way, neither of these options are cost effective. I will be going back to our older Honeywell humidifier and replace the wicking element every 2-3 weeks at a cost of $6 and not have to worry about the mineral residue again. I will admit that this humidifier works great and is nearly silent, but the cost to keep the mineral deposits off of every surface in our house make this unit a no go for me

Great Humidifier

I still miss my good old Air-o-swiss… It does a good job with keeping the moisture in my bedroom. It is quiet in cool mist mode, a bit noticeable sound when in warm mist mode. Cleaning is not hard but there is a lot of parts and a bit annoying to put everything apart and get to all nooks and crannies . If I may suggest… get yourself a round soft brush with long handle- kinda like to clean toilets but in kitchen section

I love this humidifier but me lungs were irritated by the white dust. I have been using a smaller Levoit Humidifier to great success. With that one I just used one of the little blue demineralization cartridges and had no white dust. I need a bigger unit though

Humidifiers are a staple in my house. this one is very easy to use and operate, down side is it is difficult to clean. humidifiers should be deep cleaned at least once a week and this one is very tedious to clean but over all i think it’s worth it for how much water it holds and the remote operation
