i am having an issue with my new C920. It always reverts back to default settings, no matter what i configure in GHUB or Windows-Settings. I work in a fairly dark room, and have to adjust the exposure manually to be visible for my communication partners.

How does the problem manifest:

\- with Disabled Control for Webcam in GHUB: When i change settings via windows-settings. I save, close the app, reopen it, all settings are back at default

When i change the settings via GHUB, the first 10 Second are fine (if i check the webcam online), it than changes back to default settings. When i click the little lock-icon in GHUB to change from permanent config to profile based-config, everything is as configured until i end the call / test.

If i change a setting while in call it seems to "reload" the settings and everything is fine until the end of the call.

Things i tried:

\- uninstalled drivers / reinstalled drivers

\- uninstalled / reinstalled GHUB

\- disabled GHUB Controls over Webcam and configured it with Windows-Settings

\- Tried to use Microsoft Teams built-in camera controls.

Logitech C920 Settings keeps resetting to default settings

- Nice camera. I ordered this because it said it does video calls in 1080p and it has autofocus and light correction. For the majority of you this camera should work as described. - For me, I wanted a camera to connect to my Chromebox/AndroidTV/X-Box that connects to my 65" 4K to do video calls

My spouse uses a Logitech Brio and the Logi Capture webcam software for work. She has an ancient (7 years) old Macbook Pro. I'd like to buy her thew new Macbook Air M1 or the Pro M1. However, she absolutely has to be able to use the Logi Capture software (for some complicated reasons). I understand that it isn't native Apple Silicon (after checking iMazing's tool) yet. And . . . I'm worried that because its a hardware oriented piece of software that it won't function right with the M1. So . . . does anyone know if the Logitech Logi Caputre software is fully campatible with the new Macbook M1 Apple Silicon chips?

Does Logitech's Logi Capture Webcam software work on M1 Apple Silicon? Is it compatible?

 I increased my rating by a star because honestly, the quality of the recording is quite nice and the I like the mounting options it has. I will say that I have experienced problems with the cord being too short, even with the addition of a USB hub that added a few extra inches but this is because I am mounting the cam directly above my desk (face down) for streams, and if you're using this for calls you should be fine.

 So, the C920s is a great webcam, just as the C920 was (since they are the same). But if you were looking at it as an upgrade to the C920, it isn't. So, 5 stars for the camera, 0 stars for deceptive marketing.

C920S is just a C920 in a new box

 Otherwise muck or blown out!  But the auto-focus was the biggest let down. It was always soft, missing the optimal focus, mostly farther back. At best the picture was barely adequate, for an HD spec camera in a brightly lit room. The built in camera in a recent Mac Laptop put it to shame - not even in the same league
