What's the longest you've run your pellet smoker continuously?

I got into pellet smoking about a month ago -- around that time, there were several posts lauding Lumberjack pellets, which I've used exclusively thus far.  My results have been underwhelming. 

Smokiness of meats so far (salmon, chicken, chuck roast, turkey) on a scale of 0-10 (10 being way too smokey), I'd estimate a consistent 0. Even after evaluating the next day when my snooter is no longer configured to ignore the face fulls of smoke it's blasted with every time I open the smoker. 

For completeness, I've had several offsets over the years, have somewhat mastered 'blue smoke', and I've got a Cuisinart Woodcreek which I think based on reviews and how it's designed, isn't really ?known? for how smokily it smokes.  

I have a pellet tube I've yet to try using in conjunction with the woodcreek.  I've read that lower temps typically lead to more smoke (and more time for meat in smoke), but have thus far not found it to be helpful.

All of which is to say I know I have other options, but, the easiest long term is probably to try some other brands of pellets.

semi-related, I'm totally enjoying the ease/convenience of pellet smoking, and definitely in the market for a higher end 'forever' pellet grill (ideally while the woodcreek still has a couple hundred $'s worth of resale value).  Current leaders for 'forever' grills include MAC 2 star, Yoder ys640, and LonestarGrillz 20x36.  Curious what else I should be looking at, and any feedback on how well any of the above handle smoking AND grilling?   Whatever else I might say about the woodcreek, it has done both quite handily (though I do insert the ceramic briquette insert when grilling.

Looking to upgrade to a bigger grill 1,000-2000 in2 cooking area. Easy maintenance is very important. Accurate temp control and high temp for searing are musts. Lastly insulation is another factor to consider as I live up north and would like the ability to use in colder months. I plan to do a little bit of everything from jerky to brisket to cheese dips. 

Honestly I keep looking around and it seems that they all have their flaws. I’ve looked into traegger, Pitts n Spitts, MAK, and Yoder but need some guidance. I feel like I’m stuck in a loop. Any advice is appreciated.

So I've recently had a kid and another one on the way. My ability/time to baby sit my beautiful day long fires are pretty much over. 

I've been looking at pellet smokers but I have no idea where to even begin. I love that some have cool side burners like the camp chef. Some seem to be just bare bones get the job done like the treager 700. Others like the recteq are built like a bus. 

I'm looking for something sub 1200. What brands should I be looking at? What features are just gimmicks? Should I be concerned with metal thickness?

Any advice is welcome.

<p>Edit: Now people have me wanting to throw in the newer gravity fed charcoal smokers. Chargriller has come out with a newer model that seems better than Masterbuilt. Are these gravity fed the way to go so I don&#39;t lose on too much flavor?</p>
