      In April 1971, University of California Santa Cruz students Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley were in Alaska on the Juneau ice fields for a Glaciology school project.  So if you do plan to use these in a really cold condition you might want to have a liner glove. These are a slightly more loose fit, like I normally wear a large in gloves. These are a large and I do have room for a lightweight liner underneath, so something to consider there about the Evolution gloves. Down at the cuff we do have a little bit of an elastic cinch there so you do get a little bit more of a snug fit

 The palm of this glove is a durable leather palm. It is reinforced so you get really good grip and you get extra durability where you need it. So right in the palm there on the index finger and the tips of the other fingers you get that leather so it enhances the overall durability. I will say the glove is fairly thin so it may not be the warmest option out there

 These are a large and I do have room for a lightweight liner underneath, so something to consider there about the Evolution gloves. Down at the cuff we do have a little bit of an elastic cinch there so you do get a little bit more of a snug fit. And there is a glove clip so you can easily clip these gloves together for storage so you don't just lose a single glove. Overall, totally wind proof, highly water resistant, very breathable and simple, just enough to deflect the wind on those harsh days

They seem to be well constructed, fairly good fit, and provide a good grip. My only average review rating is oriented to my intended use. I knew from the description that these gloves wouldn't be very warm. However, I ordered them because I usually don't need much

Don't expect much insulation value.

 They seem well made, have good grip and tactility. I would rate them for temperatures above 40 degrees.

I (and my partner) have been using these gloves to run, bike and skin in for the last couple seasons. They work great as a warm, lightweight glove that will keep wind and light rain out. My girlfriend often uses them to bike commute in, especially on chilly days with light rain. They are better for more aerobic activities in colder weather (down to 20-25ish degrees Farenheit) - they breathe well and provide enough warmth for my circulation-challenged hands and fingers as long as I'm moving

Nice looking gloves, runs just a little big so was a great fit as I'm between S/M for everything. Fingertips are a little boxy so the e-tips are good but not great. Saw GORE-TEX but didn't read close enough.
