 So there is a pocket on the inside of the piece for some additional storage of items you want to keep a little more protected from the elements. To enhance the fit this piece does have thumb holes so that it will keep the sleeves in place. It is a nice way to layer much more easily with a shell jacket or another piece if you need to. So definitely a nice enhancement to the fit of the jacket

 Normally I do wear a large and the medium is pretty snug. It is fitting as it is supposed to, so pretty close to the body, pretty tight, pretty snug. But I don't have much room for base layers underneath, so I would probably consider sizing up to a large if I was using this jacket for myself. Overall it is constructed with a 100 percent nylon rip stop face fabric and a Thermal R synthetic insulation rests under that

 So you have got a really highly wind resistant material here. It is also water resistant as well and it offers core insulation, so you stay warm throughout that front face. The rest of the jacket is a 92 percent nylon, 8 percent elastane jersey stretch fleece fabric. So throughout the sleeves and the entire back of the jacket you have got this really stretchy, lightly insulated fleece material to offer warmth, but a lot of breathability and it dries really quickly as well

 Reduces weight, reduces bulk, but it still fits fairly snug against the hip. So it is a really nice fit overall. I would consider using this jacket for winter running, alpine climbing, skiing, spring skiing or snowboarding, anything where you need a very breathable, but still warm insulator that is going to block wind from the front. So even some cold weather mountain biking potentially with that wind blocking face fabric

Surprisingly versatile

Comfortable fit and will serve the purpose of my purchase. With that said, the filling is even thinner than what I hoped for, meaning this is truly a garment just for transitional ( not winter) seasons.

Really nice quality, fairly slim fit- I wouldn't have minded it slightly closer fitting, but I am quite slim. I went for medium, and I'm 182 cm and 75kg. The length is just right. It is quite lightweight, so not super warm, but it is designed for being active

Favorite Light Jacket w/Thumbholes in Sleeves

I've been using this jacket all summer in the Colorado Rockies for hiking & casual wear and it's made the perfect mid-layer for me. The softshell sleeves maintain flexibility and wick pretty well and the insulated torso has been great at retaining heat on colder evenings. Would recommend!
