 So one of these little guys costs usually not very much. I've bought this one for a hundred and seventy nine dollars. Now this one does not have any kind of a pickup built in and if I had it to do over I probably buy one with a pickup just because they got that much more flexibility. But for what it is, you know you can tell things getting pretty chewed

I’m in Officer Candidate School at the moment and I’m itching to play guitar again. The only problem is that anything outside a select few items has to be stored inside one closet. If you know anything about the Army, it’s a hell of a lot of gear to go in a small space. Do you all have any recommendations on a smaller than normal guitar that won’t play or sound terrible? It works as a travel guitar. But the sound doesn't live up to Martin standards. But then it wouldn't be small as travel guitar. The sound sounds like one of those cheap guitars, not like a Martin

It's a travel guitar, but that sacrifices sound, and the large neck sacrifices playability. But it's light and portable.

 Beautiful little guitar. I think it's perfect for what it's designed for. Don't listen to all the haters who are trashing it. If you're looking for a great travel guitar that's well made and easy to play, the Action is beautiful

 If you are expecting a lot of sound and excellent playability, buy a 1/2 size guitar.

 I didn't expect much. It does the job, but the sound is just not great. Something to do with the design.

 Takes up very little room. I have kept it in a small cubby at my work and nobody even knows it's there. Sounds better than expected. Martin quality

 I have it standing next to my other Martin. it's a GPC PA for the performance artist guitar and just for a relative comparison in size, it's still in the box and obviously you see the box is actually smaller than my than my other morning here. So we'll go ahead and do a quick unboxing of it and I'll do a quick review of it. and really obviously if you're doing me reviews if you looked up anything on the Morton, you know it comes with a gig bag already and it's really you know if the sound is going to be what it is as far as for the size of the guitar and it's made for portability and it's made for being able to just kind of throw in your car and playing in it like they talked about at a campfire

 They're just kind of working on their computers or just kind of just bringing it wherever they want to bring it with them. So it's the convenience for it is there. So the electronics is not really part of the make up of this guitar here, so it's really light and once you put it on, it kind of fits nice around you and then you're able to go ahead and play it more comfortably. So again, as you're sitting down, it's not going to have the playability of just leaning a big body on your lap if you know what I mean I mean I have a Fender and a Gibson Les Paul and they know that the Fender kind of sits on my lap more easily than the Gibson Les Paul because of the fact is the Gibson Les Paul is a heavy guitar got a smaller solid body to it

I see quite a few recommendations for the Martin Backpacker ... yeah it's compact, but it sounds awful (again, my opinion)

The Taylor GS Mini in my opinion is one of the best travel / mini guitars. Can't go wrong with one, and they sound great.

I wish this guitar sounded bettter. I love the shape alhtough its a little to long for what i wanted. I think that it definitley will have people who love this guitar. However it wasn't for me

 The Backpacker has actually built up some serious street cred and some claims to fame. It's the world's most popular travel guitar. It was the first guitar taken into space, the first guitar taken to the top of Mount Everest, and in my own life, it's been both a companion and a survivor because it traveled around in the trunk of my car for years.
