 Nice thick quality feel to it. So far so good but I'm curious to see how it performs once it's soaked up a little bit I can already feel it getting heavier with the just the water that I've pulled off so far. Meguiar's Water Magnet Drying Towel Product Review

So I've got a black civic that I absolutely love and have invested a lot of time and money into it to keep it looking nice. I love detailing, but always seem to have problems. My biggest issue is my drying towel leaving very noticeable streaks right after drying. I have very hard water in Ohio, which I assume could also be a contributing factor. What I'm wanting to know is if I should invest in a premium microfiber drying towel like the wooly mammoth or the Griot's Garage PFM drying towel and if this would even solve my problem. The current towel I'm using is $10 from AutoZone which as I said leaves the car looking streaky. 

Things to note

I use Meguiar's gold car wash shampoo and conditioner, two bucket method, and always wash in the shade.

Quick question regarding drying towel used on black car.

After having used a cheap microfiber towel for awhile, I decided to try out something a little fancier from one of my favorite brands. I wanted something to dry my windshields so that I could use the microfiber towel for the rest of the body of the car. I got the Meguiar's water magnet towel to see if it be a quick solution to drying the windshields. I can say that it's ability to absorb water is definitely great, but due to it's small size, it unfortunately begins to leave that water behind very quickly

 The construction seems high quality and I doubt you could scratch your car with this even if you tried. Overall, I may have been expecting too much, but it is a quality product that does it's job well despite the shortcomings.

 However, the droplets are so small that when it dries, you basically can't tell. Another good point is that the towel is incredibly soft, including the edges. Not what the reviews make it seem.

Just using headlight restoration fluid instead of buffing it out definitely doesn't last as long, but this stuff is probably some of the best out there! I would restore my headlights once every other month using this and a microfiber cloth, and it turns them basically completely clear again!

Usually Meguair products are well made and reliable.  After using this drying towel one time the edges on two sides became frayed due to inferior stitching.  Not the quality I've come to expect from them.
