The Merrell Moab 2 WP is wildly popular for a good reason. It is a tried and true hiking shoe that delivers solid performance year after year. It's also affordable for a waterproof shoe, reasonably lightweight, and offers decent traction. The ankle height is slightly lower than some of the other models we tested, allowing water to go over the top in shallower puddles or streams, but we found the Moab 2 WP to be completely waterproof on the trail and in our controlled tests.  So that way you avoid blisters and then the most important thing it's support gives you good support. If trail runners give you the right support, then that those are the shoes for you and if they feel good for you for me, they didn't work and neither did the hiking boots the hard ones, the leather ones. I'M going to tell you. I tried other marrows and they also caused me pain, so even other marrow shoes did not work for me also

I have talked about this briefly before, but now i would like to actually go into why i chose what i chose for my hiking shoes shoe system

Unfortunately, these are going back to REI, along with the Merrell Accentor 2 Mid Ventilator Waterproof Hiking Boots, which I tested with the same method, and got the same wet results.

Home testing showed flaw in M-Select Dry membrane

 No, definitely not! This is the first time i actually buy this brand and wear it. How does it feel it's very comfortable? It has a lot of support and i i do like them. Um they're, very good, try to jump on them. Okay, can you jump higher? That'S about it! That'S all you're gon na get out of me

 The insole is very comfortable uh. It adapts to my foot, so it gives it a lot of um stability, which feels really good uh. I am not usually one that buys this brand um. I go for flatter shoes or even at times i will wear high heels

problem solved.  The next hike was in wet muddy spring trails.   My feet got soaked!  I did not get water in over my ankle and I was specifically testing them in water.  Yes, the mud and water went over my toes but isn’t that the point of having these types of boots?  Do I have a defective product?  Not sure what to think

Waterproof??

 I was able to get my feet inside the 8.5 wide more easily, but they were still tight enough that I knew I wouldn't be able to wear them for long lengths of time or long distances. I didn't want to give up, so I decided to try a size 9 wide too. Those fit the best across the widest part of my feet, but they were too long, they slipped on my heels, and the arch support hit my right foot in an odd place that was uncomfortable

 I was assured its waterproof by a salesperson, and its simply disappointing. This shoe also runs about  a half size small, so size up.

The shoe is comfortable for most feet, had no blisters after a long a strenuous hike. Its absolutely not waterproof, and it was a serious issue for me especially on a 17 mile hike mostly through the snow, had to improvise with plastic bags to avoid further moisture seeping in. I was assured its waterproof by a salesperson, and its simply disappointing. This shoe also runs about  a half size small, so size up
