 But that's some information on the metolius crash pad lineup as a bonus when you're not climbing any of these pads are soft and pretty comfortable to sit or lay on and can be used to sleep or to sit as a bench or maybe even a couch. This part of the video is just put in to kind of show you guys how the pads look next to each other and different orientations and how I look laying down on these crash pads, because more shots of me is great, but really just to show you. The size of them in comparison to each other, also in comparison to me and to give you guys more of a hands-on feel of really the different size of each crash pad relative to each other and relative to a human, that's 510. So that's the total uses basic crash pad mono and you can choose what you want or not choose any of these and choose another brand or maybe just climb and fall on the ground

 This is basically their whole line, except for this really thin pad that we're not going to talk about. Today we have the session, which is their small pad. We have the Recon with their medium pad and then their magnum, which is the large pad for them, and so we're going to get into what these are. REVIEW: Metolius Crash Pads

This thing is massive! It's almost as big as my bed and works get as a sleeping pad while camping (seriously, I can set up my tent over it). 

Also if you have a two door car it can be a pain to get in the back seat and I don't think there is a small car that can fit this in its trunk. 

 It's almost twice as big as smaller crash pads but it almost weights twice as much too. Keep that in mind if you have to go for a long hike. 

This thing is massive!

First, this pad is big. It's a triple folding pad, and on your back expect to be a bit off balance. Whenever a breeze passes by, I find myself leaning with it (not enough to fall over or anything along those lines).

I bought this pad about 6 months ago. It has served amazingly and it is intelligently designed. It is big enough to be the only pad you bring to the crag (unless you're projecting some highballs.

.) I am a bouldering instructor and have seen many crash pad designs. This one has a waist belt like hiking packs for easy access to wherever you're going. The foam is of the highest quality I have seen and manages to be 1" thinner than Madrock's trifold (the closest in size competitor)

Just a great pad, I find it remarkably light for the size of that pad. Also very comfortable shoulder straps and waist strap. Love how fast you can pack it up with just one strap also the Velcro pieces that you can cover the seems between the three sections are awesome in avoiding ankle twists.
