This is the hot metal.

 Well, we may not know what 4335 Nickel Chrome Ollie is, but thankfully the engineers at Mizuno do know. It's a mouthful, but realistically, Hugh, what that is is the material that these golf clubs are made out of. So they have advancements in the materials that they're making these days and putting into these clubs that help when the face gets really thin to increase ball speed and stability of the face. Which translates to a club being 35% stronger and 8% thinner, which means? Fast ball speeds off the face without sacrificing sound and feel

The JPX 923 Hot Metal Irons are the fastest-flying, fast-stopping new irons from Mizuno. They are 35% stronger and 8% thinner, resulting in fast ball speeds off the face without sacrificing sounds and feel.

 And here's the breakdown. All three of the JPX923 hot metal irons are cast from the same material, a nickel-chromali alloy, which is extremely strong. Before being put into these golf clubs for the first time, nickel-chromali is used in things like airplane landing gear and the gears inside your transmission. We are talking really strong stuff here

 So Mizuno went about reinforcing the toe area and as well as the top line through a combination of adding slightly more material out here, as well as a series of ribs underneath the top line. They've been able to strategically reinforce it in just the right way to create the sound and then the feel that most players are going to be looking for in their iron. Now, looking at the models individually, the standard JPX923 hot metal iron is probably a game improvement iron, but it's been tipped just slightly more towards the better player spectrum, if you will, of the game improvement set. It has a little bit of offset and has a slightly wider sole, but there is some beveling on the front, the leading edge, as well as the trailing edge

 You're still going to get the reward from a really well-struck shot, but you're going to find that the shots that are hit slightly towards the heel or slightly towards the toe are going to fly out farther. Now, one of the issues that sometimes comes up is sound and feel when you get into a really thin face on a club like this. So Mizuno went about reinforcing the toe area and as well as the top line through a combination of adding slightly more material out here, as well as a series of ribs underneath the top line.
