 After 2 months, I haven't seen any damage to the floor. We placed our area rug on top and everything stays in place and the Mohawk pad adds some much needed cushioning. We had to trim this pad to fit and that's quite a job. It's thicker than you think and took time and a lot of effort! So far I'm pleased and it seems well worth the price
