You need HDMI v2.0 or better for 4K/60 and HDR support (see comparison [here](https://primex.com/hdmi-14-versus-20/)). So for now you either need to stick to ARC for audio from the TV and your Apple TV 4K or [replace your with a newer model that supports at least HDMI 2.0. If you do replace your AVR then yes you'll need new Certified Premium HDMI cables such as those from Monoprice (via [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCGKI3O/)).

This cable works very well, but beware that it's quite thick and lacks flexibility. A thinner, more flexible cable would probably be better if your installation is in a tight space. For my cable, I needed about six inches of space to bend the cable 90 degrees.
