Current Prices

Hi all, building my first PC soon and after a lot of research I think I finally have an idea of what spec to go for.

Ideally I want something that will last the next 5 years without having to do any upgrades, but I don’t play many demanding games. I’m mainly looking to play early access stuff not available on PS4, strategies like Crusader Kings 3 and also some modded games like Skyrim. Mostly offline, nothing AAA as I will just get that on my PlayStation.

The spec I have come up with is as follows:

CPU- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

GPU-4GB AMD Radeon RX 570

MOBO-ASUS Prime B550-PLUS

RAM-16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2666MHz (2x8)

Storage- 1TB Seagate barracuda 120 SSD

PSU-Corsair 450W cv-450

I may have it built for me but I’m not sure yet - I’m good with electronics so I will probably build it myself though. 

Could anybody tell me if this is a decent spec PC and should allow me to play most games with good graphical settings?

Even after doing tons of research through <a href="/r/buildapc">r/buildapc</a> and <a href="/r/buildapcsales">r/buildapcsales</a> along with YouTube videos, I&#39;ve finally compiled together what I think is a suitable pc for my needs. I&#39;d really appreciate any help, advice, or recommendations I can get from everyone here as I embark on my first build.</p>

<p>General Goals: I&#39;m on a somewhat tight budget as money is important to me first and foremost. I&#39;ve been fortunate enough to save a decent amount of money which I hope to target mid-range gaming at 144hz. <p>Specific Parts Help:</p>

<p>Motherboard: I spent a lot of time debating whether or not to settle with the current MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max versus a cheap B550 board like the ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 which is around the same price at $114.99.</p>

<p>I&#39;m also wondering if it would be wise to save money and buy Micro ATX Mobo like the GIGABYTE B550M which is only $94.99.</p>

<p>Memory: Would 3600 speed RAM really make that much of a difference on my fps with this setup? My research points to no but any confirmation would be nice.</p>

<p>Case: Really aiming for a case that includes pre-installed fans and a mesh front. Right now, its a toss up between the current Cooler Master MasterBox and the Phanteks Eclipse P400A which goes for $94.99.</p>

<p>Again, thanks so much for reading. The picking parts experience has been both fun and challenging especially with prices fluctuating within days. (I mean, look at the Ryzen 5 3600 prices. $12 price jump in a day smh) But at any rate, I&#39;m excited to finally join in with a community I&#39;ve been passionate with for awhile.
