Bought 3 new jars from my local pharmacy - they were out of stock for some time so when back in stock, I decided to stock up. Unfortunately, I did not realize it is now heavily fragranced and contains a blue dye to give it a slight bluish tint (instead of the original white cream color). Especially during hay fever season, any fragrance makes my allergies worse. Neutrogena used to be know for their hypoallergenic and fragrance free products so WHY ADD A FRAGRANCE AND A DYE??? If I wanted a scented product, I would use Olay

Bring back the original formulation....

 It tends to give me a rash and can break me out, so I just avoid it in most of my skincare products. So that's why I opted for the hydrating serum instead. However, I will say that I think this product is kind of unnecessary, and I think you could just get away with the next product that I'm going to talk about, which is the gel cream. They are very similar formulations, except for this does contain a couple of plant extracts, but they're so low on the ingredients list, they're probably not really doing anything in the formula

 So I'm just going to re-film kind of my final impressions and thoughts and feels on each of the products, and then the overall line, and I will go into detail about what type of hyaluronic acid is being used in this product line. So if you want to learn more about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost product line, and my thoughts on it, then just keep watching. Okay, so starting off, I picked up the Hydro Boost. This is their Hydrating Gel Cleanser, or Cleansing Gel

 And then the gel cream, it is very hydrating and moisturizing without being heavy or tacky or waxy, absorbed really quickly and had a really nice skin-like finish. So I will probably continue to use both of these products because I did enjoy using them. All right, so that is my review of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost product line.  However, I do think you could probably get away with not using this product and just using the gel cream, especially if that perfume in the product didn't bother you. But if you're worried about that, this is the one from the line that does not contain any fragrance or perfume. Okay, so now let's just talk about the star ingredient of this product line, which is hyaluronic acid. So I have done a video in the past talking about hyaluronic acid and how there's different types depending on the polymer length and their molecular weight

NEUTROGENA HYDRO BOOST REVIEW | A Biochemist's Perspective

TLDR:. I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost moisturizer as well as ROC and Cerave retinol products.

 Truthfully, a while after applying, my skin feels gummy, not soft & silky. My skin is normal, not overly dry. I love to try new products that advertise softer skin, as do we all, but I have to give this product a thumbs down.

No improvement!
