Nike Zoom Freak 1

So to wrap things up, performance wise: I Think the Zoom Freak One is a solid encore performer. They retail for one hundred and twenty dollars.

I Just don't think they're a great shoe. As far as an entry shoe goes, it's okay again. I Think that they're overpriced

The biggest issue is the support (See video above) Because Nike carved out the midsole to decouple the shoe to fit Giannis' Gait (Heel toe, Heel toe kinda of stomp on his large steps) the midsole actually collapses when there is enough pressure apply to it (SEE VIDEO) This isn't an issue when you are moving front to back, but when you start moving laterally, or when you apply a large amount of force on the lateral side as in the case of a ankle roll or a similar mechanism, the midsole collapses, and has no rigidity making it likely for you to roll your ankle. (See Video) For the most part on offence you don't really feel this being an issue, but when youre playing defence it becomes more apparent. Furthermore, the mesh upper is way to soft and has no fuse backing or external caging to provide lateral support and containment.

and the traction was actually really good on par with my Omn1s. ​. For those curious about outside shoes these are actually pretty good, and there's some colorways on deep discount on Nike and Footlocker/eastbay.

1. These stay in my bag because the traction is best since the Kobe 9s arguably better. These will stick on anything, indoor, outdoor, blacktop, tennis, rubber tiles (ugh), linoleum (barf) and squek too.

I play mostly outdoors and courts here where I live are basically brutal concrete and most of them are dusty, but the indoor courts are nice as well since they are hardwood. Zion 1s are the most comfortable and are my shoes when there's a league going on, the Zoom Freak 2s are what I mostly wear since they feel kinda like the PG 3 which are one of my favorite shoes.
