Nike Zoom Freak 2

The biggest issue is the support (See video above) Because Nike carved out the midsole to decouple the shoe to fit Giannis' Gait (Heel toe, Heel toe kinda of stomp on his large steps) the midsole actually collapses when there is enough pressure apply to it (SEE VIDEO) This isn't an issue when you are moving front to back, but when you start moving laterally, or when you apply a large amount of force on the lateral side as in the case of a ankle roll or a similar mechanism, the midsole collapses, and has no rigidity making it likely for you to roll your ankle. (See Video) For the most part on offence you don't really feel this being an issue, but when youre playing defence it becomes more apparent. Furthermore, the mesh upper is way to soft and has no fuse backing or external caging to provide lateral support and containment.

No squeak but seems to hold decently well. Cushion: very plush in the heel, you can feel the zoom units in the front, but you just kind of feel them there I dont feel like a repsonsive bounce from them. Midsole seems to be phylon and actually quite plush, but not responsive. Materials are very comfortable but like previous reviewers the mesh layer is quite cheap and thin, but the synthetic leather on the upper is a nice touch.

Hi guys so I have the Zoom Freak 2 which is more than a year old now and I'm surprised of how everytime I play basketball the performance just keeps getting better. For the first 1-3 months I didn't like playing in them, to the point where I bought 2 other shoes just so I won't have to play in the Freaks everytime. The traction was ok, the fit (I went True-to-size) was very tight and it was hurting my foot, but most of all the cushioning was atrocious. But just this month, I noticed that the traction has been phenomenal even though the outsole has basically frayed off, it's also very loud/squeaky indoors.

**Nike Zoom Freak 2**: My most frequently used shoe, I use them both out and indoors; reminds me of my all-time favorite shoe, the PG 3s. Traction is the best in the rotation, cushioning is also pretty good although you have to break them in to feel that forefoot zoom unit, the fit was also very snug at first but the materials stretch out. I use this for everyday playing.

I like to have shoes with dark colors as my outdoor shoes so they don't show usage. I play mostly outdoors and courts here where I live are basically brutal concrete and most of them are dusty, but the indoor courts are nice as well since they are hardwood. Zion 1s are the most comfortable and are my shoes when there's a league going on, the Zoom Freak 2s are what I mostly wear since they feel kinda like the PG 3 which are one of my favorite shoes.

I'd prefer the nike zoom rise 2 too but react elevations are a good choice, may I know what site you're buying them from and personally my experience with white bball shoes in india has been bad, the courts aren't clean and the shoes look kinda bad after a week of playing but that's just my personal opinion.
