 You get this little in-line resistor that allows you to run the fan at low RPMs for quiet installations as well as a large syringe of Noctua NTH1 thermal compound. You also get some longer screws just in case you wanted to use a thicker fan and a very premium looking Noctua badge. The installation is very straightforward. Let's check out those numbers for all of those numbers, people

 The colors they use are kind of like their calling card. The color of a fan should never be a contributing factor if you're looking for straight out performance. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you don't have an open mind, skip this video

 For these tests, we let the system idle for 20 minutes with each cooler installed to get a proper idle temperature and then we used the Ida 64 stress test for 20 minutes with each of the coolers as well to get a proper set of temperatures for a fully loaded CPU. The fan speed for all of these tests was set to 100% as well, so there was no variance or anything different really. Well, obviously the fans are different, but that's a whole nother thing. At idle with the stock cooler, we see the average temperature after 20 minutes sitting at around 30 degrees Celsius

 Not that it matters at all, but I also threw in a Gigabyte Radeon Vega 64 Gaming OC as well because we basically needed to see what the system was doing. Along with the Noctua cooler, we also tested the same setup with the stock cooler for the Ryzen 5 2600 and a Wraith Prism that typically comes with this bigger brother, the Ryzen 7 2700X just to add a little bit of context.  Also pay attention to the orientation of the cooler as in one orientation you can dump hot air straight onto your memory. - The main Con: TOTALLY inadequate for a 3700X.   Temps with this on a 5600x were reaching 88*C under load, 75*C on idle.  Switched back to the wraith prism and it dropped to 55*C on idle.

 What's up guys, Jeff here once again for Modders, Inc. Today we're going to be taking a look at Noctua's new NH-L9A AM4 low profile heatsink. Built specifically for AMD's AM4 socket, hence the name, this diminutive little cooler has just a 114 x 92mm footprint, and stands at only 37mm tall with the included Noctua NF-A9X 14 PWM fan. That 92mm fan has a max speed of 2500 RPM, yet generates only 23

 I ran this with both coolers at both stock speeds, and at a 3.95 GHz, 1.3875 volt overclock, and a 24 degree Celsius ambient temperature. The results were interesting, with both coolers performing roughly the same as stock speeds

 This makes sense, as both the Wraith Stealth and the Noctua L9A are rated for up to 65 watt TDP. Both idled at 31 degrees Celsius, and had just a 1 degree Celsius difference under full load until temperatures equalized. However, one major difference between the two coolers was the noise level. The Wraith Stealth, while not terribly loud, was beginning to border on unpleasant here in my office

 In fact, the Noctua is just barely taller than the G.Skill memory that's installed in this system. Now, onto the testing results. I went for a basic test, running Ida 64 stress test until temperature equalized on the CPU

 So essentially today's video, we're looking at this cooler mainly. This is the star of the show, so to speak. And this is for your ITX build, so like me with this in-win B1 case, we've got a relatively shallow depth there, so there's not a lot of coolers we can put in there. You can just about get away with the stock AMD cooler, but anything more than that, it starts to get a little bit dicey and gets a little bit close to the glass top

 We've currently got a cooler in our Inwin B1, but we're going to be taking that. That is at the moment the best of the best from what we've tested. So we're going to replace it with this, the Notchua L9A and see how it does. And then we'll add the upgrade cooler on after just to see if there's much difference in cooling performance and also noise levels

 You definitely don't need it. And if I look back at my prior results, so with the stock cooler, our minimum temperature recorded was 31 degrees C. So that compares, yeah, pretty much almost exactly the same with it closed and maximum was 91 degrees C. So yeah, that's a definite drop, almost 30 degrees there

 So we're going to replace it with this, the Notchua L9A and see how it does. And then we'll add the upgrade cooler on after just to see if there's much difference in cooling performance and also noise levels. So let's start first of all with the main cooler itself. Always wanted to get into SFF, and LOVED the design of the Chopin InWin case. Been using for few weeks now, it's perfect!
